Damn...this is some crazy stuff.

I've got to say...someone in the organization needs to have a long talk with Hoffman. From what I remember, Hoff has always had a bit of a loner aura around him...not the kind of guy to make a lot of friends or hang out with the guys much. That makes him a prime target for a controlling, crazy person like this woman. That woman isn't normal, whatever comes out with this investigation notwithstanding. She has her hooks into him big-time, and someone needs to find a way to save the guy, since he likely doesn't seem able to save himself. This is no different from women who are battered and isolated from the world by abusive husbands. She's likely using the same psychological tactics on him, and using financial hooks/intimidation instead of physical ones.

His career as a Sen is likely over, but he still needs help to get the hell away from that psycho.

The main trade board has hoards of people condemning Mike Hoffman. No one wants to allow him to stand by his GF and many think he is just as quilty as her. ..

Well I am going camping/fishing for a week .. I am going to unplug and hopefully some of these things get closer to resolved in the meantime.

"The application for a peace bond, sworn in front of Justice of the Peace Louise Logue on May 4"

... huh, May 4.

Team has known about this for over a month.

Did the Karlssons inform the team, or did they do this privately?

You realize you're gonna come back and this team will have been moved to Barbados or something.

Reports are that team officials has known for weeks about the Hoffman Karlsson situation.

Questions that need to be asked:

Why have we not heard from Dorian nor Melnyk at all.

Was it disclosed that Hoffman situation within trade talks?

How can Randy Lee still work for this team Especially in the same capacity. ?at least give him different responsibilities for now.

Imo we need a complete overhaul.

You are demanding Dorion be fired because he didn't publicly discuss the private affairs of his employees?

The Randy Lee thing could easily be Eugene influencing the organization and Dorion having no say, especially since Eugene appears to have paid for his legal representation.

You also are speculating re Hoffman trade discussions. The hockey world is small and it's entirely possible Dorion was negotiating in good faith by disclosing Hoffman was being dangled for off ice/chemistry issues.

If Lee really did that I 100% think he should be let go, however because of the hollywood environment lately I think it's easy to jump to conclusions. I don't know why the driver would make that up but it's hard to let someone go who might be innocent. I am 100% for removing everyone at this point, I can't believe how trashy this organization looks nowadays. No where to go but up though and I'll be hyped come October haha. It does seem that there is no chance EK&Hoffman will be here then.

Hoffman should have been traded well before things came to this.

Also anyone else find it funny that Dorion didn't miss an opportunity to get in front of cameras last year when things were going well, but absolute radio silence this season.

Which is fair. Hoffman should have been dealt. That's not the angle the OP seems to be taking. He seems to be indicating Dorion was trying to pull a fast one and wasn't transparent with fans and other teams about why Hoffman was on the trade block. That's part speculative and part a massive breach of privacy rights.

People are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law in this country & I'm not sure that employees can't be fired or suspended before they are proven guilty for an offence outside the workplace, although in Lee's case he may have still been on the clock. I assume they could be given a leave of absence with pay until the case(s) are before the courts & a ruling is made & then based on that ruling an employer can act for or against an employee.

This franchise needs to clean house from top to bottom much, much sooner rather than later just for the public optics, if they have any wish to stay viable within this market. I would guess that one of EK or Hoffman are moved as soon as possible, if not both & if possible. If Lee is found guilty, I assume he makes a public apology & most likely they should probably fire him or at the least send him to counselling, if not, there will certainly be a backlash over that.

apparently karlsson and hoffman had a parking lot confrontation

Weeks after captain Erik Karlsson had a face-to-face parking lot confrontation with teammate Mike Hoffman over a belief Hoffman’s fiancée, Monika Caryk, was guilty of unthinkable harassment of his wife, the matter wasn’t settled.

Temporary leave of absence was what i was reffering to. Until we know one way or the other. Regarding Randy Lee situation.

Obviously i dont agree with outright firing him. But allowing him to stay in his current role as AGM is not great optics.

An employer can fire someone at any time without cause, as long as they are willing to pay damages.
