For now. Did you do it..No .. Seriously did you do it ? What? You don't trust me? I can't believe you'd think I would do such a thing...tears... Ok Ok fine I believe you
Sadly, as some suggest, it’s not going to be as easy as they say for him to just walk away over night if all allegations are true.

I can’t wait to talk hockey again when referring to the Sens.

The handling of the Randy Lee situation pisses me right off.

As for the Hoffman one, I'm not sure what Dorion could do outside of just shopping him. I assume the Karlssons didn't want it public at the time.

Behind you, look out
I wonder if he is already traded and they haven't announced it because it is close to the draft and it makes for better TV when Bettman says over top of the booing "we have a trade to announce!

If these allegations are true, really makes you wonder why Hoffman's gf hates Karlsson's wife so much to the point of harrassing her like this? Is there anything that happened between these 2? And how long has the organisation known about this? What a weird story, and weird time to be a sens fan.

Anyways, the only outcome here is trading Hoff. He's always been a lazy soft floater anyways. He has been in trade talks for a long time, this just seals it.

Doubt it. If he had been traded, we’d know about it.

1. I can’t believe that when Karlsson found out Hoffman’s fiancée was the one harassing his wife he didn’t approach Hoffman and tell him to sort his fiancée out or they would take it further (hence the restraining order application or whatever it’s called).
2. I find it sad Hoffman’s fiancée feels the need for plastic surgery at her young age, usually a sign of low self esteem. Leaves her nowhere to go as she gets older.
3. If Hoffman’s fiancée has mental health issues then good on him for standing by her but they need to address this so they’re both not crucified.

Sad situation all round. For all we know the fiancée could be unable to have children or have miscarried and hence her supposed jealousy of Mrs Karllson.

But let’s all speculate and crucify much more fun

Terrible story.

But why do people keep saying that this organization is a joke? What does Pierre Dorion have to do with this? How does trading Hoffman after the trade deadline fix the problem of his girlfriend allegedly cyberbullying Karlsson's wife? You guys know that online bullying doesn't have a geographical limitation, right?

Yes, it's another negative story. But what was this organization supposed to reasonably do about this? How do you know that when the organization found out about the incident and the harassment that they didn't speak to Hoffman and ask him to find a solution to the issue without having to draw national attention to it?

So many of you guys speak so immaturely and are always so definitive in your judgements like you have any f***ing clue what's going on behind the scenes. But as long as you get to keep typing the same negative shit every day...

The negativity of a portion of this fanbase is more poisonous than stories that have come out recently and it seems to only be getting worse every day.

Probably our only hope at this point is a quick sale and decisive action from new owners, because I can't see our present front office doing anything decisive anytime soon.
I’ll never stop being a fan... albeit a depressed one at the moment, but still a fan nonetheless.

Is it?

Melnyk has shown over time how unethical he is at business practices and tone-deaf about social issues.

I don’t think the whining by this fanbase comes anywhere near that.

But it wasn't just EK's wife that she was (allegedly) going after.

“Monika Caryk has uttered numerous statements wishing my unborn child dead,” says Melinda Karlsson’s sworn statement to the court.
Erik Karlsson, too, was allegedly targeted.
“She also uttered that she wished I was dead and that someone should ‘take out’ my husband’s legs to ‘end his career.’
“Monika Caryk has posted over 1,000 negative and derogatory statements about me as a professional.”

That is a relationship that cannot coexist on the same team come September. A small shred of hope now is that when Hoffman is moved Karlsson is not following him but that hope fades exponentially with a story like this.

If we have to buy Hoffman out then I say we do it.. the 1st buyout window is June 15th (is he eligible?)
I think the Sens have pretty good grounds to terminate the contract on the basis of breach of the morality clause in case it is proven that Hoffman knew about this, didn't do anything to stop it, or in the worst case even fueled some of it. For your fanbase's sake, I hope he proves he knew nothing about it and cuts bait, but that seems far-fetched sadly. This past season for the Sens seems eerily similar to the one Avs had a year ago, they started off well, and then soon after the wheels fell off, and the broken locker room played a huge part in the Avs season where Iginla and Beauchemin along with some other alienated the entire young core. It was painfully obvious no one there gave a care in the world and everyone just wanted the season to end.

I hope Dorion does the same here as Sakic did in Colorado and gets rid of everyone who can be deemed cancerous to the locker room, they jettisoned Iginla and Beauchemin, buried Colbourne in the AHL, not even letting him befoul the ice in the A, traded away Duchene and decided to build around the group that are all close friends in Mack, Tyson, Landeskog, EJ etc. Of course, it was a bit easier for Sakic to do so because the guys he needed to get rid of were easily disposable and didn't carry as much value as Hoffman, well save for Duchene, but Matt was never perceived as a problem child. He was just in a dire need for a change of scenery and I feel bad he ended up in another toxic environment, just as I feel bad for you all, being forced to endure the same ineptitude and disregard for fans from my favorite soccer club. I hope and know this will be better if not right away soon down the road, and I wish Gary had the balls to do what Silver did in the NBA when he took the Clippers from their owner for conduct determinantal to the image of the league and the sake of the club.
