My apologies if this isint the correct thread (I don't know if there's one for NHL video games that are not made by EA Sports).
I just wanted to pop in here to say Arda Ocal and ESPN did a really good job with their feature on NHL Open Ice (if you haven't watched it yet, it's on YouTube gets mentioned at 20:05 mark); I played that A LOT as a kid. What I thought was *really* interesting was him mentioning another hockey game that Midway scrapped called "NHL Celebrity Hockey". I know Arda said it was dumped in development, but have any gaming friends in hockey even heard of this in passing? Pausing the video to read the timeline it looks like this game was scheduled to come out in 2001 for the PS2 after the concept was created in 1999? I wonder if this ended up becoming NHL Hitz?
