Is there Canadian site that sells digital codes besides the official MS store? Looking for Black Friday sales.
Theyre basically giving it away and they aren't running out of stock unlike Sony. There's a very real chance PlayStation gets blown out of the water this console gen, and it could get ugly.Xbox Series S becomes best-seller in Amazon UK's Black Friday sales
Microsoft's Xbox Series S took the limelight during the Black Friday sales on Amazon UK, stealing the number-one best-selling spot in the retail site's gaming category.www.trueachievements.com

On a sidenote related to Xbox:
Apparently if you turn off PC cross play, it still matches you with PC players, it will just ask if you want to quit when a PC player joins. Kind of funny.
No they don’t. They make way more money through game sales and gamepass sales than console sales. Putting them on PC is just smart. The only way Xbox can up their game is to stop releasing games on PC and Console. They need some power in the market with console only releases. My xbox is essentially a paperweight as I was expecting at least a few console only games by this point.
Yeah they do. That's why at the last Xbox public stream they had specific releases for console only.No they don’t. They make way more money through game sales and gamepass sales than console sales. Putting them on PC is just smart.
I saw one. And it’s not first party and hardly a big game. Why do you think Sony is starting to transition more games to PC quicker? There’s good money to be made.Yeah they do. That's why at the last Xbox public stream they had specific releases for console only.

All Xbox Exclusive Games Coming Out in 2022
It's going to be a big year for Xbox owners!www.dualshockers.com
With the leverage they have over Xbox for console exclusive titles? It's going to stay the same.I saw one. And it’s not first party and hardly a big game. Why do you think Sony is starting to transition more games to PC quicker? There’s good money to be made.
This is a horrible idea and they should do the opposite. Xbox needs to start mandating more 3rd party titles be Play Anywhere titles. The only way Xbox can up their game is to stop releasing games on PC and Console. Oh there was a $100 discount on it on the Microsoft store. Was going for $199 during black Friday. Keep in mind, not only have the other consoles not gotten a discount, the PS5 has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive in Europe and Canada. It may be the death sentence for PlayStation in Europe and Canada this generation.I don't see how a discount on a console after it's been out for two years is giving it away, it's been par for the course. They may gain some market share but whatever. Also, you need to turn off crossplay in the Xbox settings.
I have a PS5. I play that about 95% of the time and Xbox less than 5%.That is because you have a gaming PC, I am in the same boat I only play on Xbox a few times month. I understand most people can’t afford 2 thousand dollar PC’s so buying a console for 500 dollars and get really good performance is good for them.
That's probably because the S is barely Next Gen, the One X outperforms it in many aspects, and it only has a 500 GB HD, and externals only work for non-X/S games. Last time I checked the expansion was like $200 so you might as well buy the X. As I already mentioned, not surprising after two years with MSFT's overall strategy. They want ongoing subs so you discount the cheapest console.Oh there was a $100 discount on it on the Microsoft store. Was going for $199 during black Friday. Keep in mind, when you account for inflation the original gameboy was roughly $190-$200 in today's currency. The Series S is ridiculously cheap right now.
Regarding crossplay I'd have to check in on that. But lots of people are getting this message.
OBVIOUSLY, everyone knows all those things are true (other than the hard drive part, it doesn't have a hard drive), But as a gamepass machine that plays all the next gen games, $200 is nothing. And yes the series X is better, but at $200 you can buy almost 3 series S consoles for 1 series X, massive difference. That's probably because the S is barely Next Gen, the One X outperforms it in many aspects, and it only has a 500 GB HD, and externals only work for non-X/S games. And as I figured, Sony getting massacred during the holidays most likely due to the price hike. Don't know what they were thinking.
Don’t think PS5’s are particularly hard to find anymore, especially during Black Friday they weren’t. Saw several online promotions where you could get one. They can only sell what they have out in stock. I don't think they have a ton sitting around taking up retail space. They seem to be selling as fast as they put them out. I just checked Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Amazon for the Canadian market and none of those places have them in stock. So, I don't think Sony is getting massacred by this price hike (and the price hike didn't happen in the United States). I also wouldn't call a $20 dollar price increase on an item that was 629.99 to start significantly more expensive (it's a 3% price increase).
I'm just going off what is available, and pretty much every major online retailer is sold out in Canada. Seems some physical Best Buy locations have stock, but they seem limited, and pretty much every Best Buy located inside Toronto is sold out (you can drive to Oakville or Burlington and hope they still have it when you arrive). So, while it's nowhere near as hard as 2020 or 2021 where you had to buy up the ones online within like 30 minutes of them being on sale, they still are pretty much moving as fast as they can be produced in the Canadian market. PS5's not being on that list is more likely a product of how many they had available for sale at the given moment, rather than a reflection of consumers walking away from the brand. Series S is pretty much the only 9th gen console you can walk into any major retailer and hope to buy one.Don’t think PS5’s are particularly hard to find anymore, especially during Black Friday they weren’t. I saw some PS5s, but they were being sold in like $800 bundles. Sony competing with scalpers at this point.I'm just going off what is available, and pretty much every major online retailer is sold out in Canada. The $800 dollar bundles are generally retailers adding in controllers because they know people will buy an extra one to get their hands on a PS5, since retailers see a larger return on accessory sales. Now, Sony is generally packaging the PS5 with one of their major first-party games from Ratchet and Clank a year ago, to Horizon:Forbidden West to start this year, and now God of War: Ragnarok.I saw some PS5s, but they were being sold in like $800 bundles. Sony is scared because they’re going to lose all the sweet perks they paid for to dominate the market (the Xbox and PC experience is garbage as a result). That and they have done zero work to compete on their own but rather keep making remakes of past games.Looks like the Blizzard deal is going to be challenged on a few different fronts. I'm starting to think it's a bad deal for MSFT, be better off taking a quarter of that money and creating something new. Yeah, it would be great to get COD included in Gamepass but whatever
