Is anyone else over the Chytil love affair?

To me other players are just as meh. Like, call the mvanilla with sprinkles or twist with sprinkles, depending on the player. Chytil is like… a twist, no sprinkles. It’s never gonna surprise you. It isn’t more decorative than it looks. He’ll do the Forsberg 100x and score twice, but ultimately he’s. straight up not that yummy.

Given that the Devils then proceeded to outshoot us 2:1 with Schneider on the ice, explain what exactly the fight did to them.

It could be argued that the hit and the fight helped the game get from 0-1 to 2-1, and THEN the Rangers went into turtle mode.

To think that Schneider was rated so poorly by that page - that's a head scratcher. I watched a rookie quickly adjust to cover his partner as the sides got swapped during play down low in the zone. (not that Braun was a liability, but he wandered)

Maybe that didn't fair well for Schneider's webpage fancy stats - but to say Schneider didn't have a good game - that's way out there to me.

I remember getting ridiculed and shit on when I questioned his IQ/playmaking/gamesense 4 years ago.

I've always had issues with his game. He'd be an OK winger. He's not a Center. I truly would love to be wrong about this

I’m so over Fil. He’s just as you said. He skates kinda fast. He occasionally has a nice move in tight. The only difference is that Chytil shoots (and occasionally scores) from further than 2 feet out, but not nearly often enough to be considered in any different light than Gauthier. They’re twins.

That's true and I f***ing hate Sharangovich for no reason so that was fun and I hope it hurt.

Schneider's going to be a good player but he isn't now, and we should use the much better players we have available in the playoffs.

Seems he's been around forever, but he's still all of 22 years old. He's been playing a solid no frills game, pitching in offense here and there, which is fine for a 3rd line/top 9 player.

Yes. Beyond a doubt I would LOVE for him to prove us all wrong and be a top six center but it’s simply not going to happen. And he isn’t going to displace any of the top six wingers. He simply isn’t good enough to be a top six player and isn’t versatile enough to excel on a third line unless they very specifically have space for a speedy one dimensional winger. He’ll be out of the league in 3 years.
