Pistons still suck, but there's signs of life. They didn't hit 4 wins last year 'til mid January.
I have to believe at some point they'll have their equivalent moment to Lions vs. Vikings from a few years ago.Pistons still suck, but there's signs of life. They didn't hit 4 wins last year 'til mid January.
Yup. Tonight is at least in contention for the most satisfying (football) win I've ever seen. Absolutely ridiculous amount of perseverance, and back to back 50+ yard field goals that nearly kissed the upright to tie and then win the game.5 picks and a W
The Lions are nuts
Campbell's speech in the locker room was dead on - the defense held them in the game until they found a way to win. Game balls to Aaron Glenn, Carlton Davis, and Jake Bates.Hell of a gritty win. Defense held the line in the second half so Amon-Ra and Gibbs could do their thing.
Its suppose to end with winning the Superbowl.Campbell's speech in the locker room was dead on - the defense held them in the game until they found a way to win. Game balls to Aaron Glenn, Carlton Davis, and Jake Bates.
No idea how long the ride will last, but this season just feels different.
And what's different now is that this is the 1st year of their window. All of their best players are under contract for multiple years. I remember the 2014 team and thinking, "this is their only shot". With this front office, this isn't a 1 year opportunity. Its suppose to end with winning the Superbowl.
It certainly appears that way. But I still really hope they can get it done this year. Anything can change on a dime in the NFL, whether via injury, retirement, trade, or a new superstar emerging. And what's different now is that this is the 1st year of their window. Minnesota doesn't scare me. Even if the Lions drop both of those games, Minnesota has to go to Detroit to close the season.Kitty cats are destroying people.
Despite their ridiculous dominance, they need to stay sharp, because they have Bufflao and SF ahead, and keeping pace with the Vikes will be difficult.
Still, clearly the hottest team in the NFL right now.
I agree with you the Vikes with Darnold are just limited in what they can do. The Lions will probably sweep them this season. However, the Lions remaining schedule is tougher than Minnesota's. The division will probably go down to the wire.Minnesota doesn't scare me. Even if the Lions drop both of those games, Minnesota has to go to Detroit to close the season.
It's a crazy vibe this year. I really think New Orleans is a possibility for the Motor City Kitties.
