Also, why Gibbs only got 2 run plays the entire second half after he’d been GASHING the Bears in the first half is beyond me.
That's the one aspect I didn't understand: getting conservative way too early. Even with the injuries starting to mount, how does the team known for going on 4th down more than anybody else suddenly take their foot off the gas pedal prematurely?

Hey, it's a win. Hopefully they learn from it and don't pull that crap again.

Wow that failed 4th and 1 was like a turnover. Should have gone with Montgomery instead of Gibbs in that situation.

So if the Lions were to go 3-1 (lose to Buffalo, beat everyone else) and Philly were to win out (this is exactly what I think will happen), they would have identical records. Anyone know who would win the tiebreaker in this case?

Since they don't play one another, Detroit gets the edge for a better record within the conference. Here's the full list of rules:

"To determine home-field priority among division titlists, apply wild card tiebreakers."

TO BREAK A TIE FOR THE WILD-CARD TEAM (Two Clubs)

1) Head-to-head, if applicable.
2) Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
3) Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
4) Strength of victory.
5) Strength of schedule.
6) Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
7) Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
8) Best net points in conference games.
9) Best net points in all games.
10) Best net touchdowns in all games.
11) Coin toss.

I love how they have a list of 10 things followed by a straight up coin toss. The odds of still being tied after #4 or $5 have to be beyond astronomical already

Eagles TE Dallas Goeddert out for the reg season with an injury (he should be back for the playoffs). Finally some good news for Lions on the injury front. Goeddert is a huge part of that Eagles offence. I had them going 4-0 for their final 4 games because they are so much more talented than their final 4 opponents. But now, I could see them struggling against the Steelers, and maybe even Washington. Fingers crossed.

Pitching market is absolute insanity. This is inane. Guy is a 37 year old injury magnet. This is the type of guy that should go for a third of this because the likelihood of reinjury is just so high.

Contracts are just out of hand in baseball. This guy is going to get 17 million if he’s just okay and he doesn’t sprain something.
