If the Rangers HAVE to play back to back games against the Penguins, I'd rather Tue/Wed. At least make the back to back both home games for the Rangers. Actually it benefits both teams, no travel between games. Stupid NHL.

What are those people? On Dope?

Well, to be fair, it's not like we're playing a different team in those 5 games. They have the same ridiculous schedule we do.

huh?

I mean 5 games spread through out the flyers and pens series.

tuesday - wednesday - friday- sunday - monday

Even if the Pens had gone to 7, they'd have had an extra day

Oh I thought you meant the pens/Rangers schedule was like that

I didn't memorize it okat

Well Millbury thinks the Pens will quickly swiftly take care of the Rangers in 5 games

well this is the second time they're facing sidney crosby and the pens in the playoffs. Hopefully a better result in this series than the one in 08.

I'll stick with my initial prediction of Pens in 7. Crosby/Malkin will steal a couple games for the Pens, Lundqvist for the Rangers. If the Rangers can continue to force the forecheck and possess the puck in the offensive zone, we can expose their D and Fleury. Gotta stay out of the box if we want to have a chance.

I may be in the minority but I think the schedule benefits the Rangers. We're the younger and faster team. That stretch of games will tire out Pittsburgh's defense, namely Orpik, Scuderi, and Martin.

Still thankful it's PIT and not CBJ....

However, if you thought the refs were biased in this series, it will be twice as bad this time around. Penguins have crap defense, shaky goaltending and piss poor depth. This is very winnable, and the officials will be the difference.

I don't want to complain about this but honestly, is there guidelines set by the nhlpa for the players that prohibit them from playing over a max number of games in 7 or 10 day period? There has to be something written up in the cba. Would love to know what it says.

This doesn't seem right to me.

You're crazy. People overrate CBJ because of their grit and hard work, but they're not that talented. After Johanson who is their 2nd best forward?

They have depth. They have solid defense. They have (better) goaltending.

Their forwards are big and fast. They might not be as talented, but they're physical and would wear us down.

Not to mention the "Ex-Ranger Factor" is a living, breathing entity at this point. Like "backup goalie shut out", it's no longer a joke, but more of a reality that should legitimately be taken into account.

Being big is overrated on this site. Skill > size

Also, Bobrovsky has been terrible in the post season to date.

Columbus would've been a better matchup for the Rangers.

On one hand, I really want to beat the Pens.
On the other, I don't want to face the Bruins in the ECF and lose our 1st rounder.

I guess I'll be fine with any outcome.
