Courtesy of @Guadana who is very knowledgeable about prospects, especially Russians. Here he has an excellent breakdown of some of Shakir’s play in the KHL this season. Give it a watch. He might be a really good one.

Muk- solid top 4 prospect doing well in the KHL and expected to come over at the end of the season

Okhotiuk- NHL ready D prospect, unlikely to be much more than a solid 5/6 but will be a fan favorite with the way he plays, fast skater who absolutely runs guys over all over the ice

Zetterlund- solid middle 6 forward who plays the right way at both ends of the ice. Good hands and shot and built like a tank. Could turn into a solid top 6 player for a while for SJS

I feel like that's to many contracts on the sharks side but I haven't looked in awhile. Weren't they at max?
They were at 49. They would be one over now. Unless there’s something else going on the only thing I could think of would be that Muk’s doesn’t count right now because he’s in the KHL still

Isn't it just the finalists who go 2nd to last and last? I'm obviously hoping for the devils to completely drop out but if they make the finals I'll root for timo.
Per wiki
  1. The teams that did not qualify for the playoffs the previous season (picks 1–16)
  2. The teams that made the playoffs in the previous season but did not win either their division in the regular season or play in the Conference Finals (picks 17–24 up to 28)
  3. The teams that won their divisions in the previous season but did not play in the Conference Finals (potentially picks 25–28)
  4. The teams that lose in Conference Finals (picks 29 and 30)
  5. The team that was the runner-up in the Stanley Cup Finals (pick 31)
  6. The team that won the Stanley Cup in the previous season (pick 32)
So rooting for Carolina to keep the Division lead too.
