Avg.: Edm, NYI (2), Wsh, Nsh = 5
Bad: Phi, Mtl =2

Pretty tough looking March.
April looks average.

Being “In control of our destiny“ means that it does not matter what the other teams do.

This is NOT true in regards to the Senators, they need teams between them and a playoff spot to go on losing streaks to allow the Senators to move up into a playoff spot.

That's exactly what I explained. They don't need teams between them and a playoff spot to go on losing streaks. One Buffalo loss means we're in control of our destiny. That's it. If we win every game for the rest of the season, and Buffalo loses one game, it does not matter what any other team does. It's mathematically impossible to miss the playoffs.

Obviously that's not going to happen. But the point I'm trying to make is we absolutely are in control of our destiny.

Rangers are playing in Philadelphia tonight. Back to back rested for them. Buffalo playing Boston tomorrow.

Fingers crossed for our win and Buffalo's loss. It gets really tight if that happens

Last 5 games I was projecting losses against Boston and Carolina, and wins against Montreal and Detroit, just to keep us in the race, and well, mission accomplished. Now I'm looking at the next 3, and I'm projecting a loss against the Ranger and wins against Columbus and Chicago. If we do that, we'll keep playing meaningful hockey short term at the minimum.

Just realized, we have the tie breaker (regulation wins) at the moment, so our fate is officially in our own hands, if we win out the rest of the schedule and beat BUF in regulation then we are in the playoffs no matter what everyone else does.
