McDavid questions Vancouver switching goalies and playing PP1 in 8-1 game

I generally like McDavid, but complaining about running up the score is one of the most annoying things athletes can do.

They scored because your team let them score. If they scored 8 it's because your team played terribly. You're a professional, this is your job. There's no mercy rule. If you want them to stop scoring, go out and f***ing stop them. Do better.

Don't hear similar complaints from other NHLers when McDavid is padding his stats and playing the full 2 minutes on the PP in blowout games. He is no better than MacKinnon or Kucherov at 5v5.

I think mcdavids take is ridiculous, and in a grown man's game who cares, Vancouver should have been going for 10

Having said that, your statement is completely fake, and often times the oilers won't even play mcdavid or pp1 for the last 7-8 min of a blowout game to limit his overall ice time

If putting the backup in (because of illness), is disrespectful, I'd think putting PP2 out would be too.

If I was a player I'd definitely download the video and keep it for when McDavid is on a 4 point game and the other team only scored 1 or 2 points.


It is one game. I hope Demko feels better and it's kinda funny to think a couple weeks ago THAT 11-1 pre season game happened against them.
