McDavid questions Vancouver switching goalies and playing PP1 in 8-1 game

Just one game folks. Just one game. I guarantee you the canucks will not be carrying forward any of the goals they scored on opening night to the next game.

Relax.

Just saying, he handled these questions well. The thread title implies McDavid said these things on his own. He just answered someone else's question. These guys are hyper competitive to make it to this level and he gets asked a pretty provocative question just after a humiliating loss.

Damn, the McDavid haters are out in full force.
You heard it here, folks. Don't you dare bring in reality when it comes to McDavid. Don't question anything. Do not even sneeze in his presence. Okay, okay -- over the top. But c'mon man. There's a wide gap between what is in this thread and actual hate.

Stop being a baby. Plenty of examples of hatred in this world. This thread isn't one of them.

Even if Demko wasn't sick, I don't see the problem with resting your starter in a blowout. Seems like a smart move.
But isn’t that a slap in the face ?

Also that dog looks very ferocious and evil(I do regret to say evil) in your profile picture.

I hope he’s just on guard and not evil

To who?

Also who even is the Canucks backup? If they’re trying to make the playoffs I assume they want him in as much as possible. Resting him in a blowout makes strategic sense
To the Oilers but I guess who cares

No more a slap in the face than putting in your worst relief pitcher in a baseball blowout or playing your bench in a basketball blowout, it just seems logical and it's kinda weird that it's not common practice to put in the backup when you've got a 5-6 goal lead. Why risk injury to such an important player in that situation.
I cannot speak to the character of evil yorkie dog, he is not mine but only an internet dog.

He is a born salesman. Trying to take the attention away from a certain #1 draft pick who is outscoring him so far.

A little concerning this happened in game #1, but at the end of the day it's just one game. Even cup winners get blown out a couple times during the season.
