McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

2 PP assists tonight puts him at 142 with 7 and 2/3s games to go.

2 PP assists also puts him at 66 PP points which ties 1985-86 Lemieux for the 4th most PP points in a season. Lemieux holds the top 3 spots with 80 (87-88) and two seasons of 79 PP (88-89 and 95-96) points so this is as far as McDavid can rise in that stat

Would really like him to hit 157 at this point. 66 goals and 91 assists to beat out Yzerman's season.

6 goals ans 9 assists in 7 games, and with the way this game has been going with Vegas, looks like he'll put up more than 2 points he already has.

He hasn't been finishing his chances when it comes to scoring goals the past couple games but I wouldn't be surprised if he scores a couple tonight on a shaky looking Quick.

McDavid has really slowed down when it comes to goal-scoring.

I wonder if the entire prospect of having to surpass Auston Matthews 60 goal season from a year ago is weighing on him. Perhaps Matthews' shadow is looming large and causing some intimidation.
I know your post is in jest but I'd say it's the 299 barrier. McDavid/Kane/Draisaitl were all sitting on 299 after Saturday. He probably breaks through next game so each player has their own #300 game.

Milestones don't come easy ,

With 3 assists tonight, now needs 14 assists in his last 7 games to have the most assists in a season other than Orr, Gretzky, and Lemieux (tied with Oates).

Here's a recent stretch of games deliberately chosen to hilight Draisaitl's hot run (only one pointless game since Feb 21st). Funny how he still gets outscored by McDavid by almost 0.3 ppg. Nugent-Hopkins is no slouch either.

The most impressive thing about this season, is if he succeeds in leading the league in both goals and assists.

Since O6, only Howe, Esposito (with Orr), Gretzky and Lemieux achieved that feat. So there's this clear-cut connection with the "Big 4". Everyone else failed to do it.

Kucherov gave him a pretty good fight in the assists race, but I think McDavid has it in the bag after his 3 assists tonight.

Only one assist last night? I knew this guy was a bum, he was just on a lucky streak for 75 games.
He had two pretty sub par games after hitting 60 goals. (a point each). Looked like he just completely checked out and wanted a mini break. lol. Tonight he was back and hit 3 assists. He's also still 8 goals up on Pasternak who has 3 in 2 games while McDavid is now goalless in 3 straight. While not impossible if McDavid doesn't score for the rest of the season Paternak could conceivably catch up though not likely.

He's def sat back a lot more the last 3 games though I think as well he's been trying to get Draisaitl to 50. lol
