Practice makes perfectI like that he got so frustrated he missed the first one that he tried the same move again and buried it.

No , Playing D has nothing to do with skill which Mario had plenty , D is all effort.
And once again, he improves his pace as the season goes on when most taper off10th game winning game of the season. 60 goals and 138 points in 72 games. Has collected at least a point in 45 out of his last 48 games and has been held scoreless just 7 times.
His current season split evenly into thirds looks like this:
First 24 games: 19 goals 24 assists for 43 points
Next 24 games: 21 goals 24 assists for 45 points
Last 24 games: 20 goals 30 assists for 50 points
Needs 2 points in final 10 games to hit 140.
Needs 12 points in final 10 games to hit 150.
Point #138 moves him into a tie with Coffey for 27th most in a season. His next two points will see him eclipse the career highs of Orr and Stastny and move into sole possession of 25th most ever and just the 10th player in history to hit 140.

Jeff Carter managed 2 points tonight...is going to hold off McDavid in career points for at least 24 hours.
Ah...you are right.No.
This doesn’t have McDavid’s updated #’s for tonight. He’s at 299/835.

along with 30 other teamsAll these points but won’t make it past the 3rd round lol
Yes including the Oilersalong with 30 other teams
The real question is: can he get 156 to pass yzerman's best seasonSo right now McDavid needs 12 points in 10 games to hit 150.
Anybody feeling like betting against him at this point?
As a player he's already in the running for best of all time and ahead of everyone not named Gretzky and Lemieux,. As a sportsman (which includes championships) he's obviously behind. What does he need to do to pass Yzerman/Sakic? Or has he?
Hopefully with a new team he has a measure of success. He deserved much better than starting his career with Edmonton. He needs a cup I'd say !
