McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

Lol, cut the shit. He was on pace for 150+ last year and finished with 123, so what happened there? Looks like something “unreasonable” happened. It will happen again this year too. He won’t hit 150.

Btw, I’m an Oilers fan; I would love to see him do it. I’m just not a delusional fanboy.

What’s your current projection?

Gretzky had 4 in a row during 1984-85. Him and Lemieux each included a hat trick in their streaks.

Yep just noticed this which I posted above. Pretty incredible.

Brett Hull had a wild run that while close, doesn’t qualify. It’s well worth sharing though.

From 1/22/91 through 2/23/91, he scored a goal in 13 straight personal games.

2, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 3

I guess it’s not considered some kind of record since he missed 2 team games during the run.

It's truly amazing how dude is doing this and nobody thinks his team is a cup favourite. He coulda went to Buffalo and they woulda waltzed into a couple of finals by accident by now, even being managed by Tim Murray.

Because they’d have the exact same team as right now plus McDavid, right?

I really thought the "even managed by Tim Murray" thing would have kept this kind of response at bay. Oh well.

No, because even Buffalo would become a major destination with McDavid. Edmonton just can't.

Who are you? Funny how you waited till now to quote me now that it’s safer to do so when you didn’t have the balls to do it then.

The guys who were going back and forth with me a month or two ago can talk some crap and serve up some crow when the times comes, not some lurker who waited until now to say something lmao.

for a guy "who doesn't play defense" there is an awful lot of defense being shown here and a few of them are shorthanded plays that he made off his own takeaways.
Did you miss today's game where he made two horrible plays that led to Bruins goals?

Defense isn't about highlight reels.

I can point out how Bergeron was a -3 and had a terrible game against the Sabres last meeting against them including a giveaway in OT to lose the game in spite of him scoring a goal in that game but that doesn't make him bad defensively.

The dude is so good that 50 goals in 61 games is not even worthy of a thread

He also went cold for much of February as well if I recall. He's just been heating up like crazy the last week for scoring. He basically made up for when he went cold and is right back on track. lol

Great? I mean who cares about +/- for a single game but sure. Like McDavid scored two goals but was also primarily responsible for two for Boston.

You were the one who brought up a highlight reel in support of a player's defense. Much of defense is reading the play and taking calculated risks, but highlight reels aren't in the business of showing risky plays that didn't turn out. Do better.

You need some toast for all that jelly you have for the best player in the world

I just looked at the Boston's goals against and McDavid was definitetly not even responsible for 2 of them and the one where he did have a giveaway was just a small turnover in the Bruins zone then he rushes back to defend and takes the proper man while Kulak literally leaves the middle of the ice for Foligno to streak down lmao.

I have quoted you several times in this thread, including at the time of the post being referenced. I am one of those guys.

I don’t know why but knowing Connors current pace and the fact he just hit 50 so fast, the year end projections don’t feel all the impressive.

Lost in all this is the fact that his teammates' finishing stats are probably pathetic as hell. It's a good thing he has 50 because his team scores on like 1 out of every 10 grade A chances he creates.
