McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

If I was an Oilers fan I would be livid if Holland doesn't go all in. A 2nd rounder for a depth piece or something like that is grounds for being fired

Doesn't really make sense not to go all in. I could be wrong but I don't believe McDavid will be there after his contract is up

- West is wide open this year with no real top team
- Oilers just went to the final 4 last year
- McDavid is in his prime having one of the best seasons ever

And he is sitting on his hands?

We already are livid, go read the trade thread. There was an article posted just an hour ago showing that Holland laughed at his son for suggesting he go for a big move.

With another four-point game today, McDavid is now up to a 92% chance of reaching 140 points. He now has a 38% chance of reaching 150 points. Both of these percentages are the highest it's been all year:

He's now up to a season-high 59% chance of scoring 60 goals:

Note - all these tables are based on the assumption he plays all 82 games.

Whatever happened to that “McDavid Slowing Down” dude?

If it’s Garbageyuk, the Oilers fan, he’s hiding in the shadows until McDavid has a point in back to back games to inexplicably sound off.

If it’s the number of Penguins fans chiming in, they’re feverishly worshiping at the altar of the Cult of the Penguin, wondering why their voodoo doll of McDavid isn’t working.

I was referring to this guy:

I hope he does it, he's one of the only players in the game right now that can make you pay attention anytime the puck is on his stick. Dude can do crazy things at any moment. Not a lot of guys you'd pay to watch play anymore, but he's top of the list.

Needs 37 points in his final 22 games (1.681 PPG) to hit 150. His season average is 1.883 PPG.

Since 1/1/2018, the start of the second half of the 2017-2018 season, over 5 years ago, McDavid has 616 points in his past 379 games (1.625 PPG). He has played all but 13 games during this stretch.

That 5+ year pace, would see him finish with 148-149 points.

By the way, let’s break down each 20 game portion of this current season.

First 20 games: 16 goals and 35 points
Next 20 games: 17 goals and 40 points
Last 20 games: 15 goals and 38 points

Pretty consistent overall, despite some screaming about slowing down all season long.

If he hits 150 on the button, that’s going to be a 401 game stretch where he will have averaged 1.628 PPG. An insane consistent sample size.

150 is coming folks. If he plays the remaining 22 games, it’s inevitable. What a time to be alive.

What can Holland do? He has no space though that's on him. Screwed up with the Nurse contract and Campbell is not a starter. Team is stuck with them unfortunately and that's cap space they could use. He will have to get creative and hope the other GM's agree to whatever that might be. lol

Best player of all time

Just LOL at you hockey historian nerds saying otherwise

Guy is mental

Most "advanced" player of all-time is the term. That covers the advancements in equipment, nutrition and training 😅

I have zero doubt he is the most skilled player ever but peer to peer he won't touch Gretzky or Mario and that's likely the fairest comparisons
