McDavid heating up, what are odds on 150 points this season?

How is Crosby a real generational player if Mcdavid isn't? Seems to me so far in their careers Mcdavid has the upper hand? And even if he doesn't they are close enough it's ridiculous calling one generational and the other one something else
Both are. Without a doubt

He only needs 3 points in the next 4 games to be officially "on pace" for it at the halfway mark. 75 in 41.

This is nuts in my fantasy league. I'm trying to make up some stats with other guys but then the top guy with McDavid just makes the gap larger and larger every week.

That last sequence of this game the entire Oilers team kept passing the puck to McDavid expecting him to generate the entire offense.

the entire team depends on him so much, that's why he's the #1 Hart candidate right now.

so easy for everyone to score that he's on pace to outscore the closest non teammate by like 40 points by the time the season is over
For sure. I was actually jumping off on another post on scoring.
Staying on topic though - Like Gretz in his prime . There is Connor , then there everyone else.
Anyone who doesn't see that ......isn't watching hockey.

You would think for someone to be pacing at this level that they would have had every bounce going their way.

That isn’t the case. If you watch McDavid’s play right now you would not be surprised if he’s amassed 20+ more points.

The back half of the season is Connor time, I think he breaks 160+.

Mcdavid usually picks up his pace in the last 2 months of the season. I think it will be exciting for any fan of hockey if he can hit 150+ points.

He’s also doing it without Kane, who allowed him to go super saiyan in the playoffs. Provided Evander is back and close to full strength by February, those three months to close out the year could be a track meet against DET x2, PHI x2, SJ x2, ARI x2, ANH x2 and so on.

150 would be amazing but...

156 puts him tops among non Gretzky or Lemieux seasons

160 makes him only the 3rd player to ever hit 160 or more (a few other players have hit between 150-155)

164 puts him at 2PPG.

Fun times. I hope he can hit all of these but it's a very high bar.

Kane has to come back if he wants a sniff at 160.
