Bad Captain, players need a rest he’s ruining their fun!

But seriously isn’t this normal? At least for teams under fan/media/internal pressure to achieve something. I feel like the Caps have done this at least in the past.

The one poster said it best. Start two weeks early so they can start golfing two weeks earlier at the end

I mean this is from aug31 last year.

Where do you want to send me my millions?

Draisaitl and prospects? Wow almost like I said.. no one wants to show up early to Edmonton.

Sad you thought this was some type of gotcha.

10+ Dallas guys have been skating for well over a week at this point. This coming week is probably 20+

Basically every team does this outside of markets you don't want to go to early.. like Winnipeg/Edmonton/Buffalo/etc.
Summer in Edmonton is great lmao it's the winter that people avoid

Reality is that before McDavid and now with McDavid Edmonton is still one of the least respected teams.

Vancouver is a perpetually mediocre team, Edmonton is just perpetually here for the laughs
Nobody gives a **** about respect, everyone just wants to win the ultimate prize.

And if there was a barometer for “respect,” I’m sure the team that’s had a dynasty ranks somewhat higher than the team that’s never won.

Will his teammates ask McDavid to play defense?
Three others already beat you to your lame ass joke.

It’s not the 80s anymore, after 40 years it may be time to let go of the Gretzky era

Also it’s always hilarious when other fans think calling the Canucks bad is some sort of high level burn. No shit, Sherlock.
Too good to never draft 1st overall, too bad to never win the cup. The definition of being mediocre

Basically. That could change, but the Canucks have sucked more than they haven’t (I am an Canucks fan to be clear). I wouldn’t be puffing my chest out about getting gifted 4 1st OAs in 6 years, especially when you messed up 3 of them. Oilers fans sitting here acting like McDavid’s personal achievements are team achievements is why Edmonton won’t win a cup with 2 of the best players and instead will keep going “well if it wasn’t for bad reffing, we would have won the cup!” every year.

Every time you post about the Oilers, a team you clearly despise, I still laugh.

After all, you spend thousands a year for season tickets for a team you hate.
He has season tickets ????? Lol I guess arguing can be fun for some people

Gonna be funny when they lose in round 1
This is a post about the Oilers not the leafs.

Least respected based off what😂😂.

And in other News. Teammates ask McDavid to backcheck.
Anybody who has liked this comment has zero relevant opinion on anything hockey. Smooth brain take.

I mean this is the first time in my life I've ever heard of a hockey player feeling the need to apologize to a teammate for hurting his stats. Even if it doesn't prove McDavid is worried about his stats, it shows his teammates think he is, which is a big enough problem in itself.
It shows that one teammate who had only played half a season with him and hardly knew him had the chance to talk with him and is now fired up and ready to go to war with him. But I guess down is the new up.

Vancouver owns the record for most losing seasons in the row...they've been a loser franchise since the day they entered the NHL

sit this one out
