It's time to change. Ruff has done a lot of good for the Sabres over the years but you can´t coach the same team forever and still keep the message fresh, now it seems like the whole team has tuned out and we are looking at another crappy season.

I understand you guys are upset and for good reason  I thought you guys would have been doing better !!

NOT an expert but the whew games I've seen of yours .. I thought that you guy took unnecessary penalties ... meaning trying to be to tough then just playing the game ;)

no pun .. just an outside prospective :)

What did we do? We got like 3 tripping penalties, Campbell got an instigator. The refs were awful last night

I can blame the refs too.. Ott took 1 for sure cause he couldn't be calm on a push from marchy ;)

Scott took one similar a couple nights ago too.. I'm not ripping your team its penalties that can be prevented so calm down ..dude

I'm not a big fan of mid-season coaching changes in the NHL. Most of the good guys are already coaching somewhere and I actually think it can hurt a team to have too many system changes in a short amount of time (see this years Capitals). I think Ruff has to get the team into the playoffs to keep his job though...I used to think of him as a brilliant strategist and hockey mind, but it feels like he's been getting outcoached for a while now.

Which is why you promote an interim coach. Can Lindy, promote one of Adams or Patrick and then you have all the time you want to find someone else.

I like a lot of our players. I think Ruff is the issue. I feel like if he was let go and a coach that could let them play a more offensive style was given the job, you would see instant improvement from Vanek, Myers, Miller, Stafford, Enroth to start. I think a new coach would probably use Grigs and Ennis differently and you would see them improve. I think a new coach would take the leash off of Steve Ott and we would see what we've wanted to see from him.

I'll give Ruff credit for two things. I think Foligno has thrived under him and I think he's been helping Hodgson's two way game come around. I don't believe either of those things would suffer though if he were let go.

Foligno doesn't look the same as last year and CoHo has had some bad defensive lapses and some good ones. Idk we both can agree that lindy has to get the axe.

The day that the organization makes any kind of personnel move based on a sign that a fan hangs in the FNC is the day I stop supporting anything they do.

I guess I just question whether or not I think the Sabres have a better chance of making the playoffs with Adams, or Patrick than Ruff.

I think Pegula shows some balls after it's concluded that this season was another failure. I mean, I don't really think you make it as a billionaire oil-man without being a little ruthless along the way. And yes, I believe it will be Terry's call on if Ruff stays or not.
