Since when do they stop showing sporting events DURING the event??

Why don't the best USA players come to the tournament?

Is it seen as more of a development thing?

It's more so I feel like they think it's a waste of time.

And a lot of our players are still in the playoffs, or injured.

Plus we didn't leave a lot of spots open.

Kane, Palmeri, McDonaugh, Krieder, Stefan, Saad, Tyler Johnson, all still in playoffs

most just say no.

i find that most people generally (if not playing in the playoffs, naturally or injured) don't come over unless it's an Olympic Year and you want to get extra special noticing points. if it were me, i'd be all like. anytime we call you and you say no, don't expect to instantly be considered for the Olympics.

(I am a very mean girl).

Even if u factor in the value of a D1 scholarship, with 4 guys still in college. Another guy with no NHL resume about to be a free agent next year..., Jones and others still earning the NHL minimum, plus some journeymen, with , if memory serves, only one guy over 25 yadda yadda...These Kidz should be VERY Proud of themselves. combined Salary wise, there's NO COMPARISON btwn these teams. Had Yanks buried some of their glorious scoring chances, this game takes on a whole different complection. Russians looked very VERY vulnerable today; Brobovski saved their bacon.

Nope I won't congratulate Russians. They went 1-1 vs a glorified college team, and could EASILY Have lost BOTH GAMES...Big Deal

I love the worlds and would prefer this than the joke World Cup that the NHL is trying to hold. The NHL teams don't want to give up their players for a tournament they can't make money off.

Ya, Russia needs to improve their defense. They were all over the place and were too free flowing.
