This.

WTF were they thinking. Canada makes the semis for the first time in like 5 years and they show soccer or some **** over a great hockey game? Joke.
On my guide it says USA vs Russia 6-8:30AM on TSN3 and TSN4. Then at 10AM it's Canada vs Czech Republic on TSN1, TSN3, TSN4, TSN5. It seems like they got mixed up with the games during which time because Canada is on 6-830 and USA vs Russia is on at 10AM.

It's not a big deal for me though, I have all TSNs and I thought everybody had the channels. The extra 3 channels were made just for Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Toronto for the NHL regional TSN games.

LMFAO at the people complaining...this rule has been a part of IIHF for years and years, it's been called multiple times in this tournament. The rule sucks but a rule is a rule...don't be angry and say the refs are against Cze or are for Canada..again...the rules are the rules the refs just followed procedure. If you have an issue bring it up in a complaint to the IIHF if your feelings are hurt that bad..

exactly. foot in crease, play is dead (or goal is waved off). obviously in the NHL it's a clear goal in International Hockey it is not. so I am not understanding the legions of "clear goal" is coming from.

yeah. that rule is dumb too

Meh, I think it's your responsibility to control your stick. Whistling the play when someone skates in the crease though is just silly. I get that we don't want the goalies getting run, but this is a dumb way of accomplishing that.

Bulanov should watch out I honestly think Wikegård might beat him up.

If an attacking skater establishes position inside the goal crease, obscuring the goaltender’s sightline but making no contact, and a goal is scored, it will not be allowed.

The rule is pretty clear. Whether it's a good rule, that's another discussion. Hockey gods stopped being merciful for the Czechs after the quarterfinal.

I shoud've watched the UFC instead. They rob someone every event as well, but at least not the Czechs. Damn.

True. Bad rule still that makes hockey worse.

Well they keep jacking up the Internet price with Shaw. Got a 12% increase this year in BC and am paying $85.00 a month just for intenet. Cant really afford to pay for those extra channels. Got the Basic channel since they usually show most games.

Refs gives Canada the game, no matter the result its a dirty win....

Dumb post of the thread.

Canada completely outclassing the Czech's by a huge margin, game could be 6-0 at this point.

You can argue all you want that the "no crease" rule is wrong, but it's the rule and every team is playing by the same rules.

Once the player went into the crease the whistle could have been blown. Period.

The ref made the exact correct call according to the existing rule. What more can you expect?

This is why people shouldn't complain when the Olympic refs are Canadians and Americans from the NHL. Hockey isn't like soccer, there just aren't that many great refs out there in this sport, most are in the NHL. The international rules aren't great, but with good enough refs you can have a still have a good tournament (like in 2014 OG).

I've never complained about that, but I do and will complain if American refs referee US games and Canadian refs Canada games. That should be obvious and relatively easy to avoid even with only NLH refs.
