Apparently Hampus sent both Max Jones and Elias Lindholm texts that helped sell them on the idea to come to Boston. Pretty cool to see the players go to bat for the team.
I’ll add that he’s only played 3 games. If we’re excusing Swayman for rust and the first line for a lack of chemistry after 6 games then Jones probably deserves more rope as well.
I agree.I’ll add that he’s only played 3 games. If we’re excusing Swayman for rust and the first line for a lack of chemistry after 6 games then Jones probably deserves more rope as well.
Sorry wrong postI agree.
But I also recognize that I’m not giving Tufte the same courtesy. Difference being that I know Max Jones (and have been a fan for a long time), while I don’t remember ever seeing Tufte play before.
If I put myself into the shoes of those with no preconceived notions of Jones, I understand why there would be no patience for him - particularly while the team is struggling as a whole.
Fair enough request ... if he is a 13th forward or 4th lineI’ll add that he’s only played 3 games. If we’re excusing Swayman for rust and the first line for a lack of chemistry after 6 games then Jones probably deserves more rope as well.
In fairness to Jones last game I was ready to send him to the moon after those two dumb penalties, but after that and a bit of a benching from Monty I thought he looked a lot better and more like a guy worthy of a regular spot.I’ll add that he’s only played 3 games. Yeah , I think on his first shift after being in the box when a goal was scored, he almost got one?In fairness to Jones last game I was ready to send him to the moon after those two dumb penalties, but after that and a bit of a benching from Monty I thought he looked a lot better and more like a guy worthy of a regular spot.
Someone needs to take Hampus’ phone away from him apparentlyApparently Hampus sent both Max Jones and Elias Lindholm texts that helped sell them on the idea to come to Boston. Pretty cool to see the players go to bat for the team.
My memory isn't that good, but he was all over the puck in the o-zone after those penalties, winning puck battles and races to the puck and cycling it wellYeah , I think on his first shift after being in the box when a goal was scored, he almost got one?
He was playing like he might never see the NHL again. My memory isn't that good, but he was all over the puck in the o-zone after those penalties, winning puck battles and races to the puck and cycling it well
Yeah those two blind 35 foot backhanded passes he tossed in the ozone just didn’t quite connectMy memory isn't that good, but he was all over the puck in the o-zone after those penalties, winning puck battles and races to the puck and cycling it well
Blind passes into dangerous area's is a thing on this team very contagious, Coyle, McAvoy, Lorhei, Pasta and others, Jones just got infected.Yeah those two blind 35 foot backhanded passes he tossed in the ozone just didn’t quite connect
I mean I said what I thought he did well, do you disagree? I'm sure a lot of guys made some brutal passes too, Pasta included.Yeah those two blind 35 foot backhanded passes he tossed in the ozone just didn’t quite connect
I don’t think he did well no. He seems pretty clueless on where to be and what to do. But I will withhold judgement until the key players stop playing like ass.I mean I said what I thought he did well, do you disagree? I'm sure a lot of guys made some brutal passes too, Pasta included.
You can't stop Max Jones, you can only hope to contain him..
I predict he will be at 7:18pm..I saw "Max Jones" and "contained" and I thought he went to the penalty box again
Yeah, Jones missed most of camp too. Tufte did not.I agree.

not writing this guy off but so far he can't pass, take a pass, shoot , hit, or forecheck so he only has one direction to go! He seems to be a little thick and a penalty looking for a place to happen and those are the qualities that too many of the Bruins already have. Hope he gets to where he needs to be or Providence will be his new home.By the end of the year I’m hoping we will all be happy Jones is on the team . He’s had a tough start but I’m not judging him on such a small sample size.
