Team doesn't have have anyone who can replace him unless their grand plan is to make the team weaker.
Even if you put aside that he has been very good for a 19 year old (while outplaying JDB by a wide margin), sending him down would be completely idiotic considering they are in dire need to develop young talent...namely a center.Last I heard was Friday. The FO was 50/50 on what to do.
We are 7-0-1 with him in the lineup as our #2 C. There is no way they are dumb enough to send him down.Last I heard was Friday. The FO was 50/50 on what to do.
They also are trying to get Heinen under contract.

What would be the benefit of not keeping him up? To save a year on his ELC?
Pasta in his prime, Marchand still effective but for how much longer? It would be epically stupid.
Yep, nice resume! Could not say better!I consider myself a pretty logical guy. Maybe not smart , but logical.
I cant for the life of me think of a logical reason to not keep the kid and go with him .
The fact that Friday it was 50-50 on him staying or going is astounding to me Wally. Truly.I consider myself a pretty logical guy. Maybe not smart , but logical.

Craziness.again, what I was told. I fully trust the source. But even that source had a hard time understanding the decision not made .
Wow. If they send him down things will be pretty ugly around here. Hope DS, CN, and CJ have some thiiiiiiiiiiiiiick skin if they do. They’ll get absolutely roasted and not just here.again, what I was told. I fully trust the source. But even that source had a hard time understanding the decision not made .
To save a bit of money??What would be the benefit of not keeping him up? To save a year on his ELC?
Imagine if management send Poitras back to juniors then immediately sign Heinen. The forum will blow up
The kid has to stay. If they can keep him and sign Danton, no complaints from me, but Poitras is a keeper, that's paramount.
To save a bit of money??
When the Jacobs' accountants are pounding away on their calculators to figure out how much money they can save in the long run by sending Poitras back to Guelph, I hope they factor in the possibility of lost revenue from merchandise sales, ticket sales, and lost playoff money, because IMO the B's will need Poitras to help them make the playoffs.
They also have to figure in the negative emotions it will create on the team, and how Poitras will feel towards the Bruins if he gets sent down. It will leave a bad taste in the mouths of players, coaches and many fans.....for a long time.
The kid has done everything asked of him, and more, to pass his probation period, plus they DO NOT HAVE any real depth at the Center position to replace him.
It's a No-Brainer.......He HAS to stay!!
