Not to put unfair comparisons or unrealistic pressure on the kid, but I haven't seen a prospect come into camp with no expectations and come out looking like a lock for the top 6 since 18 year old Bergy

Won't surprise anyone but Montgomery just confirmed on a french radio that Poitras will be on the opening roster.

I'm happy with his play. Could stand to add a bit of muscle, but mostly making sure he can stay on his skates.
It's fun to see how his offensive game will develop. It's been a while since the Bruins HAD to develop a center. Being thrown on head first seems to be a solid move this time around

He made several passes last night that only about 4 or 5 guys on the team have the vision and skill to do. Exciting to see. He seems to like to slam the brakes to reverse to flow alot and it works, so far. Curious if he has other tricks in his arsenal. Love a player with IQ, so fun to watch.

Reminds me a little of when Robert Thomas broke into the league. Started off as a 19 y/o as well. Pushed his way into a good Blues team at the time. Both pass first with great playmaking.
He was as good as Bedard was last night, switch uniforms and the press would be saying how great he is lol

He seems to always make the easy/right play, not forcing very much. That hockey IQ/vision should always allow him to adapt to what other teams try to do. Very smart kid.

They made nice several comments about his play last night, though not the gushing that Bedard had. I absolutely love the mentality he has though. He is staying humble, and working on every shift.

Bedard plays at amazing pace - you can see if and feel it - Poitras doesn’t have that - Bedard shot is also insane
Poiteas decision- making and special awareness looks high end eventually will be a perfect match with Pastrnak
If poiteas can ever be like Adam Oates another brainiac off the ice and elite hand/eye & hockey sense - it’s take a cold shower time
I respect and appreciate and Charlie Coyle and understand try him with 63 & 74
However if Poitras can cut it I’d play him with those two skilled wingers and make elite big strong third line with 11-13-39

I like having Freddy on the ice with him to protect him tbh. Doesn't hurt.
Freddy is such a great teammate. He is responsible for 200 feet, plays physical, and has some skill. And he is willing to step up for his teammates, and drop the gloves at a moments notice
I agree totally different players/style but don't sell him short, I feel when ever the puck is on his stick something positive is going to come out of it. Sure not as electric as Bedard but can be just as effective non the less.
But him up with Jake and Brad he's a much better option for the two than Coyle is.

My dream is Poitras between Lucic and Freddy just from a safety perspective. Bubble wrap him. That said Looch looks fine where he is.
