He reminds me of Hyman after a few seasons, hard worker who hadnt seemed to find the scoring touch yet.

What i like is his size isn't anywhere near as advantageous in the NHL and he's still quite effective. Once he learns the NHL game he's going to be a force.

Except he has great hands and playmaking ability.

The goals will come in a flood eventually.

He's always putting himself in the right position

I think he'll score a few in the 2nd round. Barely has any NHL experience or chemistry so far and he looked better than 80% of players in what should've been the Eastern Conference finals.

I think most people who watched him knew he had NHL ability, just thinking the game was the question, and at least offensively, he can think it well.

I have a feeling he is with Matthews/Marner next year and it'll be a top 3 line in hockey, I still think he is currently a step behind in some plays, but his physical tools make up for it.

Regardless, super impressed so far and I thought he was going to step in a be a pretty good player, just not as good as he currently is.

I’ve been so impressed with him. He’s playing like he’s been in the NHL playoffs before. He’s already making a big difference to this team and I feel like he’s going to be a lot of help in round 2.

Isn't Robertson more of a sniper though? Admittedly I don't watch him play very much so it's hard to tell.
I'd say a bit of a dual threat, like Knies should be. Knies was one of the best goal scorers in college hockey, that's definitely something he should be able to bring as he gets more comfortable in the NHL. Right now he's doing a good job being a supportive player for his linemates and making smart passes, but he's eventually going to become more of a scoring threat

Man were some posters so wrong about Knies impact in the NHL, let alone NHL playoffs.
I didn't have an opinion on his future, but I certainly didn't think he'd be able to adjust to the speed and physicality as quick as he did. I'm sure his finals run in college helped prepare him, a lot mentally.

The only thing he has in common with JVR is his size.

In no way do they play like each other. I'd actually be mildly disappointed if all he became a slow skating PP specialist who required heavy defensive sheltering. And before anyone says it....yes, JVR was OK defensively this season, but historically he hasn't been.
