Except they aren't mortgaging the future thus far and have been pretty consistent and clear they aren't going to touch the top prospects.

Likely Boeser moves and the assets from that are used to make another deal.

They gave up a potential unprotected 1st round pick and they traded Fernstrom who is at least a promising prospect. Their cupboards are bare after a couple of players.

And if they move Boeser, they will immediately move any picks they get more win now players.

You are more up on the situation than the folks making the proposals. He just turned 22 last week and looks like he's starting to breakout. To trade him for a trio of lesser assets as suggested, would be completely ass backwards for Anaheim. No one considering the Ducks perspective could make sense of it.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people think we need to move somebody from our forward prospects.

We wouldn't get anyone we'd want with Zegras, Carlsson is as untouchable an asset as it gets for us, Gauthier just got here, and McTavish is pegged as the 2C behind Carlsson. None of them want out or need a change in scenery, so...yeah, I don't think there'd be anything Vancouver could give up that we would want.
