first angle looks like an elbow to the head in real time, second angle looks like a shoulder check to his face, either way i don't think this is what a coach means when he says finish your checks

I mean he did, he hit through his body. The first replay looks like a chicken wing into the head, he second one goes through the body after the head contact.

i don't think anyone but ranger fans are going to conclude (ii) applies in this situation

can't blame it on his height and suggest he put himself in a vulnerable spot by being around tall people
