Theres gotta be a trade coming, these bottom 6 signings are not making sense
Why? Our bottom 6 was brutal last year. There the guys that need to be replaced.

Your assuming nothing happens for the next 3 months.
Yeah, can’t wait to see that. No JT, no goalie and a bunch of grinders. Wonderful. Is it 1999?Lou is transforming this team into a very grinder heavy one
It’s a bold strategy cotton
That’s funny because I was already getting one from MMNah, he's hoping for the 520 error on the EK to Isles blockbuster.
At the moment, no room for Ho Sang, Bellows, and Dal Colle on the roster, and there's a question of who will be 2C. Not ideal.

Man... Y'all think these are the worst contracts in the world - so bad, I'm guessing - that they pass through waivers no problem, right? Yet, you worry about roster flexibility?
People are being a little ridiculous over these signings.
Our bottom 6 last year was a DISASTER. Probably the worst in the NHL
Now our bottom 6 looks like this:
Ladd - Filppula - Komarov
Martin - Cizikas - Clutterbuck (Kuhnackle)
Not only is that bottom 6 about 10x better than last season but they are also defensively responsible.
Just because we addressed our bottom 6 doesn't mean we aren't going after a 2C, D, and G. Not to mention one of Clutterbuck/Cizikas could be going back in a trade. Sure the big needs haven't been addressed yet but this bottom 6 is a HUGE HUGE improvement over last season.
Now are bottom 6 looks like this:
5.5mm - 2.75mm - 3.0mm
2.5mm - 3.35mm - 3.5mm
Well the goal of the organization shouldn't be to purposely give out bad contracts so they pass through waivers. I understand what you're getting at but it doesn't add up.
It also looks like that. That's a lot....
I was being facetious, but the reactions to this move are crazy.
The reason the Komorov move was bad was because years 3 and 4. The first 2 years are fine. This is a 2 year low cash deal. No problem.

After my initial reaction I am all in on the Martin move but if there was so much interest it would have cost more than McAdamIsles are just 2 and change over the cap floor at the moment. Not a great source of worry. I think its important to remember there was apparently a lot of interest in Martin. He rejoins a proven line with Casey and Cal. It's not an EK move, but not one where I would say Lamoriello lost. It's part of a bigger plan the way I see it.
