Im starting to get a bit worried Zibanejads lack of being Brassard is going to be a detriment to Zuccs overall productivity on this team this season

Too early to say that :)

Over the course of a long season, i believe that things eventually mostly evens out. Its been a *lot* of post --> out this far (in some cases, quite literally, hehe).

He has passed to people that proceed to miss an open goal, etc.. ***** happens, you really cannot insure yourself against things like that. Its just really bad luck, and hopefully the next time it happens, they'll hit :)
 
Zuuc may be 5 points behind Miller for the team lead in points, but IMO with any luck he could be the team leader himself. He's hit at least 3 posts this year and has probably deserved an assist on a goal that never happened multiple times. Just the Red Wing game alone he should have had 3 assists, yet ended up with nothing.

Zuuc is fine. Hopefully the law of averages will get him some well-deserved points soon.

We´ve seen this before. At the end of the season, Zucc will most likely be top 3 in points.
On the other hand, the young guns like Vesey coming in, and Kreider having an outstanding season so far, I don´t think the team is so dependent on Zucc as before. I won´t be surprised if he is moved before deadline. Most teams would love to have his player type on the team. Not a lot of 60 point players with his low cap.

But I hope I am wrong, and that Zucc stays a Ranger his whole NHL career :)

Who got the helper on Zucc's goal yesterday? From the Norwegian news it looks like he fedd Miller twice. Who was on Zucc's line?

And why not just look at the game thread fredrikstad? Then you would learned that his line where Miller-Zib- Zucc ;) Or more right, he played on Zib's line as did Miller

Seems like Brassard is missing Zucc.... 6 points in 16 games for Ottawa...

Fans on the Sens board are NOT happy with the trade....

Very not shocked. I think Melnyk made the trade because he don't want to pay up for Zibs next year. So it was more a cap trade than a hockey trade.

With each game, Zucc is making it very difficult to consider him as a trade piece.

In the beginning of the season everyone was saying it would be either of Zucc or Miller. Too many skilled wingers. And now both are arguably 2 of our 3-4 best players..next two being Hayes and Grabner

I dont think Zucc will be traded for three reasons:

1. AV loves him and plays him the most minutes of all of our forwards.
2. He is 29
3. If a team would trade for him its because they are contending and he would be a great add for a contending team. Topline twoway winger with a 4,5 mill cap hit. But how many contending teams are willing to move a puckmoving defensemen? Not many if any at all and NYR have no reason to move him without getting a rh puckmoving defensemen in return. I think Zucc will take another hometown discount on his next contract and stay in NY for the rest of his career.
 
I think the Rangers have media limit about M. Zuccarello since he seldom get interviewed after his injury. Maybe he will focus more on hockey - he had no issue though communicating with norwegian TV in the Olympic qualifing games, or in world cup earlier this year.

The thing with Zuccarello he is one of the most successful professional sport persons here in Norway even compare to Martin Ødegaard in Real Madrid. Mats Zuccarello usually get TV coverage and national newspaper every time he plays a Ranger game. I think the New York franchise notice it as well on shirt sale - NY city with norewgian fans and journalists visiting MSG.
 
Looks like Zucc has reached his annual slump. No doubt his biggest weakness; he is just not able to be a consistent player through the whole season. Question is if he again will be able to wake up like earlier seasons?

A trade is getting more and more likely IMO.

Why? Why will NYR trade him when he isnt playing his best? Why sell low? I said it in a post earlier i dont see him getting traded because if a team would trade for him its because they are contending and he would be a great add for a contending team. NYR have one need and one need only and that is RH shot defensemen who is a good top 4 or solid top pair rh shot defensemen.
I think Zucc will take another hometown discount on his next contract and stay in NY for the rest of his career.
 
A great comeback game for Zuci, but I`m afraid this schedule has a toll on him especiallly in the November month. Maybe he worked through it - and he had a top quality game last night vs Devils for sure.
If they move Zuci they need a creative player in return - a puck moving RD doesn`t help Ranger that much compare to the loss of creativity Zuci usually brings to this team.
And some fans often forget that he is an unique player like Marty St. Louis was in Tampa - it`s so hard to compare Zuci with another player in NHL.

Because when Zuci is hot - he such a dangerous and smart player - and create goals out of nothing at all like in the world cup, and he is a guy who steal games for sure.

If we are trading Zucca it needs to be for a RHD. Doesn't make sense to trade him for another forward.
 
Zucc has already played 50 games this season (since Sept.)
Still, he has like 35 points in those 50 games. :dunno:
 
Checked the stats and have to say I was a little surprised. Despite not having his best days on the ice, Zucc is only 3 points short of being the top point scorer on the team...
