So before the trade is announced what makes us happy and what makes us mad?

(2) 2020 2nd rounders no prospect - average

LV 2020 and NJ 2021 2nd no prospect - good

(2) 2020 2nd rounders and Korczak - ecstatics

(1) 2020 and Korczak - good.

I think all of these are great and the third is insanely good.

Don’t we need a Dman on the books other then Drew next year for exposure to the Seattle draft?

Not difficult to do. Not that Martinez would help in that regard. At least, I don't think he would, since he's a UFA a few days after the Seattle draft. I forget how that worked for Vegas.

That would be outstanding.

3 good guys gone, though I see Clifford coming back in the Summer.

D for next year.

Doughty, Roy, Walker and MacDermid are four locks for the seven D spots.

Clague will be fighting for one spot. That still leaves two spots for someone. One needs to be a top 4 and the other can be a depth guy that rotates with Dermie.
MacDermid should not be a lock for anything.

I have a hard time believing anything regarding trades from "the mayor" Remember when he said getting Thornton was a done deal? The list continues. He's on top when it comes to injuries but not on trades.

After he was traded again. Pearson had to fail in LA and Pittsburgh in order to find his game in Vancouver. I'll admit, I figure when a guy can't find his offense in Pittsburgh I think he's done.

Pretty much. It took getting traded twice in the same year to get it together. Happy he's found his game again, b/c he wasn't going to do it in LA.
