Now there's a guy who is capable of listening to a game, and analyse the REAL FACTS.....Brodeur plays a complicated style end he often ends up in a bad position were he needs to dive to make the save !!!!!!!!!!!
You obviously haven't watched many games that Brodeur has played in, he rarely if ever has to dive.

In Nagano, Canada sucked balls big time...Roy had no help, and Crawford couldn't coach.

Salt Lake City, Canada was actually playing like a friggin team, and helping out Brodeur.

Brodeur has been severly overrated, I don't care what anyone says, and I don't care how much "hardware" he has Brodeur was always playing behind the best defensive core in the league, yea sure had the 4 SO in 15 games, but what happened earlier into the season?

Earlier in the season, he had one of the worst defenses in the NHL, came into the season out of shape, and injured his knee. How many goalies, under those circumstances, would do well?

Brodeur played a good game today. I didn't see the first goal, but there was absolutely nothing he could have done on the second goal.

Let's also blame Marty for not scoring today. Let's blame Marty if Canada doesn't win a gold. And let's not credit Marty for the gold that Canada won in the last Olympics because he's overrated and had Stevens and Niedermayer, etc. Geez! :shakehead

Brodeur is still the man. He's been shaky before and then righted himself. Remember in 2003? He was in a slump, then put it all together DURING THE FINALS. That takes guts and he did it.

If he doesn't, then Roberto gets the torch. Simple. But Brodeur is still the man.

Roy in the 1995-96 season before he got traded to the Av's he struggle mightily playing for the Habs, does that mean we should disregard what Roy did before and after that the way you want to do for Brodeur?

Severely overrated. :biglaugh:

If by blocker you meant post you're right. If he went butterfly he still would have left the top corner open which DiPietro hit so I don't really see your point. Oh and Canada didn't win in 98 because Crawford can't coach...have you seen Pat Quinn coach?

Why are you blaming Brodeur for anything anyway? Canada got shut out, you don't win too many games scoring a total of zero goals, I don't care if Luongo was 6'x4' and 700 pounds, Canada still wouldn't have won.

Um no, it went low right side, then somehow popped up and hit the top of the net. Instead of going into a butterfly, he does a half butterfly, and tries to use his blocker, instead of his pad.

Yeah, lets not care about success, lets not care about hardware, lets not care about winning all together. Brodeur is not a good goaltender because... :dunno: . He doesnt look as nice as you would like him to?
Now his team isnt close to having the best defense, they have no where near the talent up front they had in previous years and you still find a way to put a stab in. Even though after struggling(like 29 other starters in the league), he got his game back and was a huge reason for the fact the devils are back. Makes no sense.

Are you a child? If anything, Roy made it his job to make it look hard. It even cost him a playoffs when he tried to dramatize a stupid glove save. That was his trademark for gods sakes. But yeah, you're the real goaltender around here, with all your success and everything.

Yea he's won pretty much everything, with Stevens and Nieds helping, and facing 20 shots a game helps too. I like Marty, but I think its time for Canada to move on.

Yet you dismiss the fact Roy played behind some of the best defenses in the league.

THis is a case closed, just two ignorants who dont have anything other to do then bash a legend because they dont like his style.

uh oh Luongo in net and Canada looses, there goes your pretty goaltending theory hahahhahahha, Brodeur for life.

Brodeur for life? :biglaugh: I see your love of wrestling (I'm assuming RVD stands for Rob Van Dam) has crossed over to your love of hockey?

How about Turco? Isn't he the goalie that actually played himself onto this team in the first place? I'd like to see him get the chance against the Czechs. If he fails, go back to Brodeur for the quarter-finals.

Hey lets keep this on the Canadian goalies Brodeur, Luongo, Turco or whomever and try to use the spacebar more than periods.

Anyways, as far as I can tell the way the goalies have played has been great. The problem with team Canada is neither Goalie, its the fact we can't score. So for me Brodeur is still the go to guy in goal. He should be well rested and Luongo is probably tired from the Finland game. Does Turco deserve a shot? Yes but we have too many elite goalies as it is. Unfortunatley only one can play at a time.So we really don't want to mess with their heads too much and keep each goalie guessing on who's starting. We need a conistant starter and no one is better than Brodeur in my mind.

Really?

But who let in a weak goal?....That's what I thought

Did you see the puck that luongo couldnt control so he made it a rebound and it ended up in the net.
