Playing him with Matthews is a bad sign.
But yeah, very possible that we'll waste the rest of Matthews prime on proving Mitch deserves his cap hit.
This organization has weird priorities.
Yesterday showed me nothing that Marner would buy into an in your face style of game. I wish we dealt him.

They signed the better two (who despite missing games still led the team in the playoffs) last year and have to wait until next summer to deal with the others.
Not really anything to be surprised about.
McCabe was going forward and not backwards. If Marner was as smart defensively as certain people suggest, he should've seen McCabe was in a vulnerable spot and took away the middle more. There was no other offensive threat even close to them to worry about. It was a solo effort by the Senator, 1 vs 2, and the rookie Senator dman walked both leaf veterans, including the apparent defensive genius, Marner.

They lost in the first round 4 times in a row and then made it to the second on a lucky bounce, and kept running it back.
We finally got a new GM last year. He's done what he could - sign the better two of the four, work on fixing the D and G, and hire a new coach. Unfortunately there is virtually nothing he can do about the other two until next summer.
He's stuck with running it back, at least as far as the core four go, for this season.
The only really surprising thing is how bad a mess the previous GM left.
It will be a surprise, and disappointment, if he runs it back next year.

Yes it’s been known for a while the audio is out there. I mentioned that it will probably come out in the upcoming Netflix series.
No one said he didn’t say stop crying. That part was very clear. People thought he said “it’s not f***ing juniors” after saying stop crying but he didn’t say that part. He said “that’s the f***ing issue, people always yelling and shit” after saying stop crying bro
If anything that audio makes it even more clear that he was talking to Matthews tbh. He says “shoot it” before anything else.

It sounds like the full thing is coming out but the other leafs were not mic’d so we may not hear the full convo but even in the trailer Nylander is looking right at Matthews not Marner.
Leafs are apparently pissed this has been included in the series and they didn’t have creative control to cut it out.

Wasn’t that one of the big things Amazon wanted? They wanted full creative control to show whatever they want and depict a more accurate setting behind the scenes? Sounds like the leafs are just mad this makes them look a bit bad, which in a way is what was intended.
I for one am pretty excited for this. I was hyped for the “All or Nothing” series too, and better yet it’s not something as cheesy as the “All or Nothing” I think I’ll enjoy it even more.

If Nylander said stop crying, it seems about 1000 times more likely that he was talking to Marner than Matthews.
Highly unlikely he was telling Matthews to stop crying. Reminder that Marner literally spent the entire shift crying about a non call and then approaching the ref after the whistle about the call before going to the bench. The interaction with Nylander happened shortly after Marner sat down. Also, Matthews never even touched the puck the entire shift in question. Why would Nylander tell him just to shoot it?
Nylander is telling Marner to quit crying bro. Maybe even because the ref warned Marner of a penalty while on the bench if he didnt shut it.

The only thing I want to see is the bench argument and how hurt Nylander was earlier in the series.
edit- I just watched the trailer. Every Nylander part felt like a parody and would be great for a laugh.
