Fair point, but now that needs to lead to something positive.I've seen people asking for emotion, and now I have seen Keefe, Dubas, and Marner all criticized for showing emotion

Mitch is gonna hear it at home on Wednesday .. it could get very bad for him .. he needs to do like he last did in London and go home for a couple weeks for a reset
Grown Man Mitch didn't show emotion. Grown Man Mitch had a tantrum, like when you tell a 5 year old they can't have a cookie. That was a disgrace last night. One of the all time most embarrassing moments in Leafs history.I've seen people asking for emotion, and now I have seen Keefe, Dubas, and Marner all criticized for showing emotion
I hope he hears nothing but boo's until he finally disgracefully leaves this team. What a pathetic human being. He has zero right to wear a Leafs jersey.

We watched a child throw a hissy fit. That is not emotion.
Holy overreaction. Can't be calling him a pathetic human being. He's such a talented player who is going through a rough patch. This fanbase is so toxic at times.I hope he hears nothing but boo's until he finally disgracefully leaves this team. What a pathetic human being. He has zero right to wear a Leafs jersey.

He went out and almost scored in 3 on 3 overtime, well good for him. Marner has and always will be an overpayed floater with fancy moves and little elseAgain I’m not excusing his behaviour but we need to stop acting like he is the only player in the league who does this and this woah is me, Marner got upset. Players lose their shit, who cares. We make a big deal out of everything. Crosby early in his career used to throw tantrums on a nightly basis.
The response is all that matters, after it he went out and almost scored, Gibson robbed him unfortunately. If he responds with better play I don’t care what he does. But if he’s going to continue to sulk and do nothing about it that’s where I have a problem
This is why I understand Marner’s comments to a certain degree. There is a portion of this fanbase that is looking to take anything he says and twist it to fit their narrative and perception of him.
It’s why so many athletes do not like to do media scrums or even associate with fans because the average fan cannot separate the real life person from the athlete or the person from their athletic performance. If they perform bad all of a sudden they are bad humans, they are cancers, their character is in question. It’s a shit place to be no doubt but they signed up for this life and get paid big bucks to deal with it.
He said "we are grown men" while he was eating a bowl of spahgettios from skip the dishes and playing Fortnite.

The rage in this post, simmer down and breatheAnd? If he wants to play fortnite and skip the dishes who cares. Only insecure people who are jealous would be upset by that. I could give two shits what he does in spare time.
He’s probably rolling in the money from that skip the dishes sponsorship and streaming views while you’re on here crying and moaning about it.

Locker room management aside, his on ice decisions both left a lot to be desired tactically and didn't match up to the style of game he said we needed to play. We were playing a pond hockey stretch pass game that didn't use any of our strengths. He had 3 of the best skating D in the league and never had them skate the puck beyond their own blueline.
Kadri got suspended again the next year and the year after that he had front row seats to a no-name rookie dropping a hat trick on him in an elimination game. He wasn't going to get 5 lives, if he didn't get traded when he did it was bound to happen the year after. Avs fans wanted him gone the offseason before the cup, his turnaround last season was great but he needed several kicks in the ass to get there.
Me too. Fans can be irrational though, it's all part of the passion.Interesting Kyper and Bourne both thought Matthews deserves more scrutiny than the ”engine of the team” Marner, he’s been more underwhelming this year. I agree completely.
I want results. Flubbing the GWG as your redemption opportunity after 2 brutal turnovers for GA is the look im worried about. Not breaking a stickI've seen people asking for emotion, and now I have seen Keefe, Dubas, and Marner all criticized for showing emotion
Mitch deserves a ton of criticism, I find it really interesting though how 34 has no vitriol thread, he’s been absolute dogshit this year. Last night was the first game he looked engaged the whole trip.Me too. Fans can be irrational though, it's all part of the passion.
Theres enough blame for both. Marner's hurting us, Matthews isnt helping us. Both are supposed to be top 5-10 players carrying us nightlyInteresting Kyper and Bourne both thought Matthews deserves more scrutiny than the ”engine of the team” Marner, he’s been more underwhelming this year. For sure, just seems it’s a little one sided atm.Theres enough blame for both. Marner's hurting us, Matthews isnt helping us. Both are supposed to be top 5-10 players carrying us nightly
I think a lot of it is timing. The criticism increased in Marner with his horrible game last night where he directly cost them 2 goals and blew the opportunity to win it.For sure, just seems it’s a little one sided atm.
Not really, where’s the 34 hate thread?I think a lot of it is timing. The criticism increased in Marner with his horrible game last night where he directly cost them 2 goals and blew the opportunity to win it.
Both were taking similar heat before that.
