We are by far the best team at takeaways. It’s awesome.
We must be super annoying to play against lol

That pass was nuts. Marner was on fire last night. When Marner is feeling it you see what the outcome is. The playmaking is otherworldly. Loved the backhand sauce to O'Reilly on the second goal. And then the great move on the third using his edges. If that line can really click I'm starting to feel a bit more hope about the inevitable match up with Tampa.
ahh I see...you said points. Semantics and again obtuseI haven't said anything about a "30 goal differential". You're not making sense, sorry.
Setting up goals (and scoring) is great of course, but PK is my favorite time to watch him. Not since Gretzky has there been a player that's made PK so interesting to watch. Perhaps I'm missing someone, but Gretzky's the last one I can think of anyway.
The three players I've seen during my 50+ years of watching hockey who have made killing penalties an art, and a ton of fun to watch - Orr, Gretzky and Marner. That's some pretty good company to be in, doesn't get any better than that.
+1
Goals and points are very different things, not just semantics. You might even say that referring to the difference between goals and points semantics is ... obtuse.ahh I see...you said points. Semantics and again obtuse
Then stop dissembling when I challenge something you say that is obvious as if you don't know what I am talking about. You love the hit and run against Marner in particular, and then pretend that you are his biggest fan. Your statement communicated that people's excitement is as though he was the leader by 30 points. I gave you the basic statistical meaning of his points and takeaway standings and asked if that wasn't enough. You then played some dumb game and evaded that question as though you didn't understand what I was asking. If you don't like the ire you purposely and annoyingly attempt to raise then stop trolling for it.Goals and points are very different things, not just semantics. I'm happy to discuss Marner any time, but your insults add nothing to the conversation and are frankly getting tiresome.
Bingo. And he thinks people can’t see through the obvious veneer. At least the trolls are transparent. You love the hit and run against Marner in particular, and then pretend that you are his biggest fan.
IMHO it's a dumb question - everyone decides for themselves what they get excited about, how excited they get etc. and let's be honest, you don't care what I think anyway so any question you ask is just designed to set me up so you can trash me some more. Then stop dissembling when I challenge something you say that is obvious as if you don't know what I am talking about. I will answer anyway. I watch Marner 82 times a season, when he plays well I'm happy, same goes for all our players. Bu what I really get excited about is team accomplishments, especially in the playoffs. Crest on the front of the sweater>>>name on the back, that describes me perfectly so there's nothing Marner can do that would excite me more than help the team go on a playoff run. It's been ages since we've had that, maybe this will be the year.
Does that answer your question? Why do I think the answer will be no as you just trash anything I say no matter what it is. I made a post earlier today regarding the PK putting Marner on a tier with Orr and Gretzky, funny how you ignore the many, many compliments I've made re. Marner and just trash everything I say. Orr and Gretzky not enough? Who should I compare him to if that's not enough?
Tiresome.
Agreed, I was speaking towards himself his entire careerHe's been pretty consistently great since the start of last season, including the playoffs so there's no reason whatsoever for him to be anything but great in the playoffs
Despite you insulting me here on a daily basis, I will be polite. Then stay off individual player appreciation threads and resist getting your jolies by trolling fans
Agree 100%. A couple of times his play has dropped off a bit in the playoffs but even though some people lose their minds when that gets mentioned, it's not even a criticism really. Some have said it's a matter of too many minutes (possible) but even if not, who cares? Those playoffs were years ago, Marner's much better now than he was then and you can't expect any player to not have ups and downs, especially young guys. Marner's older now, more experienced, he's also massively improved his shot so he's harder to stop now as he's more unpredictable (can't just play him for the pass).Agreed, I was speaking towards himself his entire career
Boston 1 he was flat out dominant as well. And he did it playing with marleau and plekanec, talk about a linemates upgrade.
it’s not like tampa was a one-off. We’ve seen him elevate his play before, so I think he has it in him to do it again
This seems about right. Marner outplaying Matthews doesn't even surprise me as I've always thought those two are on more or less the same tier but Nylander stepping up the way he has is a most pleasant development!Marner => Nylander > Matthews this year.
He's also like a tougher version of Wendel Clark. Not only does Marner have the highest hockey IQ in hockey history, but I bet he could perform rocket science and brain surgery AT THE SAME TIME!
so advanced he just does Rocket Surgery. Not only does Marner have the highest hockey IQ in hockey history, but I bet he could perform rocket science and brain surgery AT THE SAME TIME!
I thought he was very good last year myself so perhaps it's "shaken"?He gets in his own head in the playoffs. Needs to shake that before you can call him great IMO
If you looked really close, you could see space and time bend in the first. Also, he is both a particle and a wave, until you observe him.Not only does Marner have the highest hockey IQ in hockey history, but I bet he could perform rocket science and brain surgery AT THE SAME TIME!
That happens in every thread when MM is mentionedI thought he was very good last year myself so perhaps it's "shaken"?
P.S. Better watch out for the "appreciation police".![]()
The KGB has ears everywhere. That happens in every thread when MM is mentioned![]()
I wouldnt say most but there are a few attention seeking dumb dumbs who are idiotic enough to believe they appear objective when they take a contrarian view. These cucks just make shit up and feed on each others own bathwater.First he was leaching off Tavares during a career year. Then they took him off Tavares’ line and he started leaching off Austin Matthews. Then ROR gets five points in three games playing with Mitch and this fan bases begins to praise him as the second coming of Yzerman to lead us to a cup. Honestly, despite being a little inconsistent and frustrating at times Mitch is the common variable here and has more of an impact on these other star forwards than most care to admit.
