If Marner gets 1 point tonight he will set new Leafs record with a point in 19 straight home games.
He also had 9 points in the 7 games played against Boston in their 2018 first round series.Marner had 8 points in 7 games the TB series, topped the forwards in blocked shots and was a plus 3. I mean, everyone had to do more imo, and I didn’t post once in a Marner thread all off season, because he/they didn’t get the job done in the end, but to routinely point at him exclusively, that’s the realm of idiocy.
For anyone who forgot here is what Gretzky said.
Two miscues by Marner and two goals by Panthers. If Marner gets 1 point tonight he will set new Leafs record with a point in 19 straight home games.
I get it's cool to get your name in the record books but wow, this and the consecutive game streak are pretty useless. stats lol.If Marner gets 1 point tonight he will set new Leafs record with a point in 19 straight home games.
I’m B4 the brain dead “secondary assists don’t count”
Marner did get the primary assist on Nylander's game tying goal.Thought this was a Marner thread not a Nylander thread.
He banked the goal off willy's headMarner did get the primary assist on Nylander's game tying goal.
They don’t ask how it happens. Nylander getting the goal and Marner with the primary assist is what counts the most.He banked the goal off willy's head
If you only take into account Leafs games played in Toronto, Marner has a point in 22/23 games which is a 95.7% rating.
Also, Marner's stats along with Matthews since November 26th is impressive.
The Sportsnet numbers posted don't align with yours.I guess the NHL isn't paying attention, as, oddly enough, they haven't been a "duo" or "connection" since about then. More relevant would be to also include Nylander and Tavares:
Nylander: games - 23, goals - 13, assists - 15, pp points - 8
Tavares: games - 23, goals - 8, assists - 12, pp points - 8
Not sure why they include PP but not even strength. ES points:
Matthews - 16
Marner - 21
Nylander - 20
Tavares - 12
What Sportsnet numbers? I listed entirely different ones, directly from the NHL website (assuming no typos). The Sportsnet numbers posted don't align with yours.
The post you quoted has stats, Marner has 29 points and 12 are on the pp. 29-12 = 17. You have him at 21, something is wrong. What Sportsnet numbers? I listed entirely different ones, directly from the NHL website (assuming no typos).
Starting to feel like a 100+ point career high for Marner.
