I can see the argument of Kuch, Pasta, and maybe Rantanen, Robertson and Hubie but Tage is a huge stretch.

You might want to watch Tage more closely. Not many 6'7" players around who can do what he is doing this year and at 7.1m cap hit. Comparing him to Marner is comparing apples to oranges. His game is closer to 34's than 16's.

I think he is having a great season and just continue to get better. But I don't think he is up there with guys like AM, Pasta, Kuch or Marner yet. I think he is getting more coverage bc of his 5 goals game last week.
Not saying he is not a top player but just not at the top level yet.

Also he's 6'6 and shooting a career high 17% this season and 40% on faceoffs. Just because he's a tall American center that can score doesn't mean he's Matthews comparable.

2. It is then demanded by some that they stop playing pond hockey
3. They then stop playing pond hockey as requested by the demanding fans

I stopped responding when he said Marner hasn’t exceeded his contract but Matthews has lol. Identical playoff numbers, Marner has had more 90 point seasons than Matthews too. I think both are amazing talents. They both took the leafs to the cleaners because the cap never rose. But that really isn’t their problem.

I'm not comparing all 5 players or determining Marner's impact on 5v5. I am looking at his individual stats and play and comparing them to other individual stats and play.
