Lots of stuff.
This seems pertinent...
Marner has long been one of the NHL’s better players, better in the regular season anyway than he arguably gets credit for. And yet, it’s at this point in his career, when he’s fully grown and smack in the middle of his prime, playoff disappointments piling up behind him, that the Leafs need him to reach another level still.
Whether he gets there or not may just determine whether the Leafs finally make a serious challenge for the Stanley Cup — or fall short yet again.
Yep, no denying that although it could also apply to others.

Thanks

Marner isn't good that way. Again we can run him 30mins a night to tick a box. Then watch game 3 vs Florida as our super elite star single handedly ended us. I also love his corsi shots wobbling in 25mph.

Mitch Marner is in my opinion, the most fake super elite hockey player I have ever seen as a leaf.
So then why are you here in an appreciation thread if you think that? You and your pals need to get a job so you can finally stop trying to spread your miserable ass takes to everyone else. Once you get a loving family and a good job, maybe then yall will stop wasting every year of your life spreading negativity 🙄

I'm obviously a huge fan but i think he still hasn't reached that level(this season) where he really controls the game(like in the past). Too much meh and then all of a sudden amazing play. Id like to see more consistency.

No one has ever denied his regular season prowess. Well, at least he will get paid a bunch of money for that. When he shows up in the playoffs, I will respect that

No doubt his game has matured this year, he's looking great. It was only a matter of time before the points would come.

I know some will need to wait for the playoffs to enjoy the player.

116 point pace. He could be better lol.

I knew this outburst was coming, it always does, and he’s been very responsible defensively, so I just waited for him to get his rhythm. I love how all the playoffs only matter crowd, also freak out over October hockey, it’s hilarious really.

Not sure I have a crew, but ok. I’ve never hid my opinion of Marner. Great point producer, doesn’t have that extra gear in the playoffs. Not worth the $12mil or more than he will want.

Leafland
I laugh at posters who say marner doesn’t show up in the playoffs
11games 14 points 18 hits +7 as well as shutdown defense plus PK

Then the same posters tell you how great nylander is in the playoffs
11 games 10 points 4 points on PP 3 hits finished with -4 which means Willy had 6 points at 5v5 and his -4 means he had 10 goals scored against 5v5

Yes Mitch is our problem SMH

Sure happy we locked up this elite player, he'll down as a top 10 player if not top 5 player all time for the Leafs!!!
No doubt he and Matthews will hold pretty much every offensive record in the Teams history.
No one is touching Sittlers 10 point night though but if there was ever a plyer who could threaten it, it's 16.
