Hanifin a UFA next summer bought a home 15 minutes from TD GardenTrade for Noah Hanifin
This is might be stupid but just thinking out loud, would anaheim do mason mactavish for Marner straight up?We can do better than that.
More. Way more. This is might be stupid but just thinking out loud, would anaheim do mason mactavish for Marner straight up?
Get McCabe into a #4 roleJust gotta figure out who to target in a trade. Preferably a defenseman capable of eating big minutes. Rielly has been great but he's just one man, and McCabe is no Muzzin, he's looked lost a lot these playoffs.
Doesn't Mactavish project to be a number 1 c at some point in the future? Not an elite 1 but an average 1 who might be in the 75 to 85 point range. You aren't likely to get equal value if you trade Marner for NHL players.More. Way more.
If MacTavish is part of a package, sure, but not one for one. Leaf Nation would have a conniption fit.Doesn't Mactavish project to be a number 1 c at some point in the future? He was our worst forward tonight. Literally killing us routinely, scared and curling away from everything. He wears this one. Can't sugarcoat it. He's been mediocre or worse every game this series.
Talk about a 180. LOLIf they lose this series, please trade him.
He's a complete choker in pressure games. If they sell high on him, they will get a good package and can retool the team too.

Did he do Matthews?Credit to Stephen Burtch on twitter for tallying it up
"Marner's playoff career to date...
Games 1-4 of the first round:
8 goals, 36 pts in 28 gp.
Every game after the first 4 games of the first round:
1 goal, 9 pts in 20 gp."
Dubas failure to realize Marner needs to be the QB on a team like Colorado or Stars, or yesteryears Nashville.
Heavy and tough everywhere.
The second you need this guy to dig out pucks vs skilled players who are ALSO tough.
He’s a boy.
He can do it all season to the lesser players. But playoff teams have men who are just as skilled and he is a no show.
Unload him now, while some team who needs a playmaker will sign him.
His time in Toronto is DONE.
