The history with Marner is bad. Thanks for the regular seasons and whatever, but time for a breakup. It's overdue.
It's the only move that makes sense culture wise. You can't continue with someone like him and all the toxicity associated with his family and posse. Get this loser as far away from here as possible.

not only should they trade him, they should make a statue of the scene of him crying in the penalty box in the playoffs

Sadly
The players that have hurt this club the most are those Toronto boys that come home to play for their hometown team.
No discounts but they come home

Started with clarkson and now it’s marner and tavares leading the way to our doom!

Toronto boys…stay the F$$k away please

Marner has disappointed no doubt but it seems strange that he is the focus and not Matthews.
Matthews was horrible too, but Marner has largely underperformed in the playoffs in the worst fashion for years now. Most of his points have been power play and even this year he had half his points come in the first two games of the Tampa series. Not only does he not score, but he also actively hurts the team with noticeable turnovers and Jake Gardiner level plays under pressure like the infamous puck over the glass.

There are more moments of him directly costing the team and choking than any of the other big 4 or Rielly. He didn't even score a single goal against Columbus or Montreal.

He also poisoned the well with milking every last cent out of the team in contract negotiations.

Marner should be the new sponsor of Bud Light. Maybe that’s why they kept ordering cases after the round 1 win.

Matthews lows arent as low.

Marner looks like he's not playing in the right age group right now. You can't go from a Selke candidate 99 point guy playing fancy pants hockey to someone who looks like they should be competing for a Memorial Cup and expect your team to have a chance.

3 of those goals were also in garbage time when the game was basically over.

The Patrick Kane comparisons... just.. no. Kane was VICIOUSLY clutch. What's Marner do to match him again? Some regular season production? A Selke nomination?

Anyone shipping him out of town over Matthews is out to f***ing lunch.
Then I'm out to lunch. I would ship Marner out 10 times before Matthews. Marner is complete trash in the playoffs. His style is completely ineffective. He has done nothing but turn the puck over this entire series. Matthews has racked up plenty of scoring chances and had numerous takeaways. He also left a lot to be desired, but nothing like Marner.

Marner and his dad can both f*** off.

Worst of all is that there is no f***ing accountability with this bitch. When he plays bad the coach still gives him the most minutes. Today he was actively hurting the team yet played the most. I had more faith in David f***ing Kampf today

There was a stat thrown around for game 3...Kampf and Gustafson had most shots on goal for the Leafs...that's incredible!

He needs to do better but so do AM and JT as well as the rest of the team.
I believe he will bounce back bc we need him to bounce back if we are going to have any chance in winning the next four.
