Knies/Robertson/amirov. Health permitting have chances to be top 9 wingers.

Steeves maybe could be a bozak? I like Douglas as a 4th liner 6 8 and mean would be a huge plus.

Don’t know enough about minted but maybe a stajan?

I’m more excited about the D.

Sandin. Lilly. Topi all have top 4. I like villenueve but it’s too hard to project him

With villenueve you are going to watch a game and on the way home you are talking about the game and you will say - I don’t know what the hype is about this kid is I didn’t really notice, him. Then when you look at the box score you will notice he was a plus three and his stats are off the charts. He plays a quiet game.

Need more dman like that to be honest quiet but effective

Is Moldenhauer committed to playing in the NCAA next season?

He's not currently committed to an NCAA program. He did say he wanted to play college hockey but he still has to decide which school to go to. This was in back in May so maybe things changed and I haven't seen the news yet.

His CHL rights belong to the Sarnia Sting, so it's possible he's going that route. The 67s had his rights but traded them to Sarnia late last year.

The Sting would be good for viewing. We can watch Moldenhauer and Voit at the same time.

I dont know why there isnt more hype around McKay TBH.

He is coming off 4 really good years in the NCAA, and won a Hobey Baker award last year.
If he was signed by Edmonton or Vancouver he would be seen as the second coming.

Is it because he is only 6'0?

I think the lack of hype is because there wasn’t much interest from NHL teams. Apparently there were only a few NHL teams interested. If a bunch of NHL teams were lining up to sign him then there would be a lot more hype around the kid.

I think it's the use of performance enhancing drugs.

That probably deterred a lot of nhl teams. Also, it will be curious to see if his performance is the same.

Although, he seems truthful in the way that he says he didn't know he was taking them. That's still a pretty big red flag.

Tverberg does he have a chance to make the WJC team

He was a late cut, so possibly with some of the players not returning to the team from the December tournament, but there is also a summer of development for the draft eligible kids, so its hard to say.

So what do you make of his remarks re: Hildeby?

Hildeby himself mentioned going back to Sweden this year. He may be able to take over the starters spot from Matt Tompkins, but I imagine he would start as back-up.

Yes, I heard him say that.

No rush for him.

Things can change, but wherever he gets to play the most makes sense. Leafs can monitor his progress regardless of location.

Mostly due to his height and his age.

He's the same age as Samsonov, for example.

And because every other undrafted goalie we've added has kinda stunk so far.

Any info around if the Hildeby pick was influened by new goal tending scout? Guy had two minor hip surgeries that probably affected his progress but maybe someone saw the whole picture and said take a shot at him, or was he just BPA at that pick?
