Saint John's forwards have absolutely no concept of defensive play... And don't even really try that hard to make up for it.

Maybe that one Finnish dude who posted in here a while back was right about Rindell after all :sarcasm:

If I remember correctly he was a bit baffled how we as a board almost unanimously viewed Kokkonen as the better of the 2 prospects from the Jukerit organization. Where in Finland it was very well believed to be Rindell was the far better player and that he was being boxed out by Kokkonen in the Jukerit Lineup in 2020-21.

If I'm not mistaken Jukerit is a bit of a dumpster fire, so this move to Karpat might be exactly what Axel needed to spread his wings. I am not sure you can have much better of a start lol. 5pts in 2 games for a defensemen is pretty darn good. Looking forward to keep following him and Niemela this year. It has to be our best storyline from our prospect pool early on this year.

The only explanation he didn't go earlier than the 7th is lack of exposure. He's so, so good.

I know some of you on here are likely sick of my support posts for Dubas and his staff, but if this pick alone does not give people confidence in them as a management staff I don't know what will.

Who the hell trades for an additional 7th round selection in a draft where you already had 2 7th rounders. Someone on staff clearly had made this a hill they were willing to die on. Not necessarily giving that credit to KD, but the fact that he went out to acquire that pick shows how much faith he has in his staff. Hard to argue with it either TBH.

Tverberg looks like he could be a real steal if he keeps this up. Every clip I've ever seen of this kid is that he skates like the wind and body bags players. The fact that he is putting up pts now is a really good sign. I know he was a big pt guy in Jr.A Ontario, but like many posters on here have said, Hockey East is no easy conference. He's making a name for himself that's for sure.

He is living proof how every pick counts. Kid was the 5th last pick in the 2020 draft.

What's the situation with Semyonov? He's not a prospect, really, as he isn't young. What are our thoughts on him?
