As someone who was on the Pashin trade along with a few others, glad to be wrong. Tverberg looks excellent. Dubas can draft man.
The only explanation he didn't go earlier than the 7th is lack of exposure. He's so, so good.
I've had the same problem all season. Have only been able to catch the home games as they're on LeafsTv.Is anyone else having issues with onhockey this whole year? Really forcing me to cut down on prospect/marlies games. Right now the only stream is the canlitr and it's just straight ads.
Anyone wanna pm me a solution/different site?
I was just about to post this. With Tverberg starting the season so hot is there any chance he could be on Team Canada's radar? What's Team Canada WJC roster looking like? I feel like he might be a darkhorse to make that team.
actually forget the Knies questions, with Ho-Sang being on a AHL contract technically speaking any team can offer him a NHL contract correct?

It's really too bad. I think his game would be a nice compliment to the rest of that forward group. He has the skating and raw skill to hang while bringing physicality that a lot of forwards here don't. Maybe he gets some consideration if Neighbours ends up staying with the Blues. He probably is the forward projected to make it that plays most similarly to Tverberg. I'm really, really happy with him though. If he could go UFA this season, lots of teams would be lining up to sign him. He's a big, big riser for me this season.Super unlikely. Canada as usual is stacked and they always like to take players they've used before. Not sure if Tverberg is even on their radar.
Here's a couple projections from the Canada WJC thread recently:

Honestly, I wanted Pashin badly and was sad when we didn't take him. Glad that Tverberg looks like a stud though. I don't see any reason why with continued development he couldn't be a good top six forward eventually. As someone who was on the Pashin trade along with a few others, glad to be wrong. Is he tracking to be our first ever Jamie Benn?Tverberg is kind of having an insane start to the season, especially after his 3 point night last night. He's playing in hockey east, arguably the best division in the NCAA (probably 2nd), on one of the mid-tier/low-end teams. It's not like he's getting carried by players that are on the big teams like BC or BU, he's the best player on his team.
When looking at U20 players in the NCAA the only players ahead of him in points on the season so far are:
1. Josh Doan (37th OA, 2021) 10GP - 14P (independent division?)
2. Kent Johnson (5th OA, 2021) 9GP, 13P (stacked Michigan team, best division)
3. Carter Savoie (100th OA, 2020) 7GP, 12P (3rd best division)
Thats it. Nobody else but Tverberg has 12 points or more U20 at this point in the season, and he's played one less game than KJ and two less than Doan. He plays a pro-style game, he doesn't appear to have any real "flaws" except maybe upside, but even that will be questioned if he continues to produce like this. I have him right now with a ~22 NHLe which is easily 1st round level production for a guy in his d+2. He should be shooting into everyone's top-10 sooner than later, and potentially even top-5 if he keeps it up (and Sandin/Liljegren graduate)

Re: Benn - the late drafted, late blooming "power forward" type I mean (in broad strokes).Much different paths but I'm assuming you mean stylistically? The way I see him personally is Hyman but 2 years younger.

The Leafs arguably have not had a hone drafted and developed power forward since Wendel.
Yes, he would have to go through waivers though.actually forget the Knies questions, with Ho-Sang being on a AHL contract technically speaking any team can offer him a NHL contract correct?
I like the Hyman comp, but on the good side despite heading to school a season younger than Hyman did, as of last night Tverberg has more freshman+sophomore points in roughly 1/4 the gamesMuch different paths but I'm assuming you mean stylistically? The way I see him personally is Hyman but 2 years younger (path-wise). I haven't watched more than 10 games of his, so I don't know how I feel about comparing his game to another player.
Only if the team signing him would want him to go down to the minorsYes, he would have to go through waivers though.
I don’t remember the name but there was a small tournament a bunch of OHLers took part in last year where he out scored all of them, I remember because Blake Murray was near the top (Sudbury Wolf) but this random undrafted player outperformed him. It was just a small one, so not EP profile level, but people started taking notice after that.Tverberg is kind of having an insane start to the season, especially after his 3 point night last night. So Ho-Sang would not need waivers to play for the Leafs?Only if the team signing him would want him to go down to the minors
Players who are playing North American (non-NHL) professional hockey and sign an NHL deal midseason do not need waivers, that's only player playing European pro.
That is correctSo Ho-Sang would not need waivers to play for the Leafs?
