Rindell rocked projected top 5 pick Lambert.
I watched it like 15 times and I cannot tell if it was dirty. He made contact pretty high on Lambert's blind side, but he kind of turned away as he hit?
Hope Lambert is okay, but nice to see Rindell step up like that.
I think that is a clean hit. It looked more unfortunate than anything really. He didn't necessarily take a healthy run at him to suggest it was predatory in any way. Just looked like he stepped up on a player who wasn't expecting any contact, and jammed him up. Not sure what else you'd expect from Rindell there TBHI watched it like 15 times and I cannot tell if it was dirty. Definitely a clean hit imo. Looks like Rindell could've hit him even harder but kind of let up and went backwards into him pretty much. Just one of those weird unfortunate injuries I guess.

Not sure Lambert will be considered a top 5 guy anymore. He is steadily falling down boards since he has struggled to adapt to the pro level in Finland (and has been fairly invisible in international tournaments even though he puts up respectable production), and this injury could possibly knock him out of the 1st round entirely if it is serious enough.
I really wish the Leafs had an additional pick in that second round for Raty. He's looked really good at the WJHC tune-up and Isles camp since being drafted.Next Aatu Raty? Seems like a stretch him falling out of the top-10 though. Guy has had some incredible seasons pre-D0 that are >> Raty.

It was Dubas who traded that pick, Lou signed the contract but Dubas didnt have to give up a first to get rid of it.How nice would it be to have Seth Jarvis in the prospect pool?Looks like the Canes may keep him to at least start the year. Thanks Lou

No he didn’t, cap hit was high but salary was low, only one year left on the deal. Budget team not pressed against the cap could have taken him on for a 2ndYes, he did.

You think Dubas actively and purposely chose a trade where had he to give up a 1st rounder instead of a 2nd round pick? You really think he did that on purpose? You can hate him all you want and the way he does business, but he's not that dumb... come on.
It's quite clear he had no choice. Marleau didn't want to play for any other team than SJS but they were capped out, so one team was willing to buy him out. That buy out was not cheap.
If you think he chose to give up a 1st when he could have given up a 2nd instead, you need to re-evaluate your critical thinking skills. No he didn’t, cap hit was high but salary was low, only one year left on the deal. Budget team not pressed against the cap could have taken him on for a 2nd
I am sure this makes so much sense in your own head. You will get there one day though don't worry. No he didn’t, cap hit was high but salary was low, only one year left on the deal. Budget team not pressed against the cap could have taken him on for a 2nd
I don’t think he chose to give up a 1st over a 2nd I think he didn’t put in the time and rushed the trade. A better GM could have found a better deal. Find me one other example of a team giving up a top 15 pick to move a contract like Marleau’s.You think Dubas actively and purposely chose a trade where had he to give up a 1st rounder instead of a 2nd round pick? I heard that Arizona was willing to do it for a 6th rounder but Dubas preferred Carolina to buy him out and paid a 1st to get it done
