Which ones have sent ALL of their prospects to play in Europe, or even ALL of their EURO born prospects and players?
Shhhh......don't stop him in his crusade.

The odd prospect has gone over, but very few who will be playing in the NHL. Why isn't Heiskanen playing, or Brannstrom, or any other high end talents? Those GM's must be blowing it. :loony:

Perhaps the fact that the SHL is not a developmental league for the NHL should be the obvious answer to anyone with a pulse, but apparently it is being rejected in the name of doobler bashing.

Not the Leafs, but interesting that he could not even last a month in the organization.

Between this and the combine thing, Arizona is a complete mess right now when it comes to their scouting/player evaluation department. They went from having a 2nd, and 4th in 2020 and a 1st in 2021 to having nothing until the 5th round in 2020 and the 2nd in 2021... And they do not have a very good prospect pool right now.

I wonder if UND starts to reconsider this kid as well. He is talented, but he is not a superstar and UND struggles to fit in a lot of talented kids as it is. Probably not a good look if he plays over another talented player who has not done these things.

Is is bat soup or pangolin soup?

All GMs have to deal with covid-19. Some have just done a better job than others.

Not to sidetrack things but aren't most NHL assignees playing in Allsvenskan? The Oilers sent Bouchard and Lavoie over and they are in Swe-1. The SEL is well below the AHL in level of play and Bouchard had 36 points as a 20 year old in the AHL but is only in Swe-1. I have heard its because the SweHL doesn't want to build rosters around players that will disappear in January but Allsvenskan would rather show the higher end talent when its available to win when they can. So any NHL owned player going over is getting relegated to a below AHL level of competition. It makes it an option for guys like Abruzesse or Robertson but their own leagues aren't that far away.

I'm sure somehow this will be the "doobler's fault".

This would have been found out by a cursory google search. Crazy it got to this.

Look at this guy.

Heiskanen isn’t going to miss 11 months of games, in fact he just played five rounds of playoff hockey. He’s also guaranteed an NHL roster spot.

Brannstrom on the other hand? Loaned to Europe. Check your facts pal.

:loony: indeed.

Not sure about the split but a number are in Sweden already. Moritz Seider is now killing it as the #1D on Liljegren and Sandin’s former SHL team as well, after the German league was postponed.

Do you think Liljegren and Sandin are just sitting on their couch watching TV and eating chips and cake? Do you not remember in the return to play they were practicing and scrimmaging with the rest of the leafs players? It's not the same as real games I get it and ultimately the team was knocked out earlier than expected but just chill bud, not all bad things in life are Dubas' fault

And their GM just quit on them to start... really not looking good for a franchise that is already struggling just to stand on its own legs in the league.

SDA in the starting lineup today for the first time.

It also looks like Kizimov has signed a two year extension with his VHL team. I am not sure that necessarily means he is going to be out of the KHL the entire time, and I am sure if he gets an opportunity to move up he will take it, but he should be a full time KHLer relatively soon if he wants any kind of shot at the NHL.

To follow up on that, he has now been dropped from the North Dakota Hockey Team.

He will still be allowed to go to school there though.

Probably spells the end of his hockey career TBH.

I think SDA's game is more conducive to playing against men than one would think. He's not going to score many goals, but I like his approach to the game on and off the ice a lot more than Bracco's

OHL just announced it won’t have body contact this season. Better trade someone to make room for Robertson on the Leafs because we don’t want him going back to the OHL now, that’s no way to prepare him for the NHL.

How the hell can they make that work? Playing hockey (a fast paced chaotic game) with no body contact seems almost impossible to implement

Since that is not ideal, perhaps the NHL and OHL can come to an agreement where the top-end prospects are able to play pro in the AHL for this season, so they don't regress from where they were.

the OHL would likely never agree to that. nobody would watch a no contact league without the OHL's top players

You've never played adult league?

Throw a guy in the box for a 2 minute penalty for a body check.
