1 for NHL ( probably going to sign someone) 2 each for the Marlies and growlers.

It will likely be Hutch + Woll on the Marlies, Scott on the Growlers, and Kallgren may be in Sweden next year. Or we are moving on from Woll (likely trade) and splitting Kallgren and Hutch. Highly doubt anyone except Scott is on the Growlers next year.

Either way, VV is the odd man out and likely going back to Finland.

Perhaps.

It's been forever since I updated, but I finished the end of season stats for the prospects in the Leafs org. The player needs to be U24, on a non-tryout contract and have less than 50 NHL GP to be on the sheet.

***Sandin with his 1 game outside the NHL, and Abruzzese with 0 games due to injury were left off the sheet.
***Korshkov and Rasanen are no longer with the organization.
***Bobylev & Duszak aged out. Chebykin and Rubins will age out relatively soon, but I updated them anyway.

For the guys that played in multiple leagues (SDA, Rubins, Hollowell, Kokkonen) I used the league they played the most in, but I tracked their other stats too.

Here are my Leafs prospect rankings post-season, pre-draft. Any player currently above the age of 24, has played 50 or more NHL games, or on only a tryout contract (and not drafted by the Leafs/rights traded for) is not listed. The most notable "prospects" (unless I'm forgetting someone) that fit this criteria are Joey Anderson, Adam Brooks, and Joseph Duszak.

Any player inside a tier is relatively interchangeable. My tiers essentially are:
1st - star potential, likely impact NHL player, will play in the NHL
2nd - low star/impact NHL potential, will very likely be a NHL player in some capacity
3rd - good NHL potential, could convince me they deserve to be in the 2nd tier relatively easy
4th - some NHL potential, still interesting
5th - probably don't need to be ranked

Why SDA so low?

He looks talented
He's such a wildcard. All the skill in the world but really needs to learn to shoot the puck more often.

Looks great at times on the bigger stages against better players but almost sinks to his competitions level as well, example being his underwhelming OHL career.

If he can put it all together he could be something special but right now is probably trending towards being a Bracco level tweener between the AHL/NHL.

Not sure if you meant my list as I have so many people blocked (and you might have quoted them), but I think 13 is a fair placement for him, but like I said, anyone in any tier is pretty close to interchangeable and I don't believe he deserves to be in the tier above.

Guy has all the talent in the world, but he overdoes everything to go along with it. It's like watching the less talented version of Marner with production being good/great, but not special. I think he could definitely play in the NHL soon, but unless he picks up another gear and smartens up he may just be a AAAA player. Lots of upside, lots of risk.

One of the problems of sda is that he doesn’t really fit in a cohort of player types. When you watch him, you can see his skill and iq, but he doesn’t produce points. If you ignore his lacksadasicalness, he looks decent. He tends to do better with good linemates, but his skillset is more suited for the top six. He’s small, but not fast. If you’re small, you better be able to evade checks and most if not all the small nhl players can skate. With the few who aren’t, they bring intangibles that sda does not have. He could be a good sheltered 3rd line c, but most teams use a heavy stacked bottom 6.

I actually do think SDA will play NHL games, I just don't know how many. I feel like he could be a solid 3rd liner for us though

I am hoping we lock down Gogolev on an ELC.

He’s a legit prospect IMO
His skating isn't as much of an issue as it was made out to be imo, he just needs to keep his feet moving. He tends to coast when he gets the puck. If he fixes that could be really good.

No he doesn’t. Grabovski was effort and played hard. If you’re big on effort, SDA will INFURIATE you.

Grabvo was super fiesty. He didn't a rats ass what you felt about him. I still remember his hate towards Habs.

Also he was gutsy. I remember him getting pounded by chara only to score the winning goal

We miss that tenacity. That dont f with me attitude
