Miller is playing regularly is he not? He's already up to like 10 games this year. Better than most other places.

I am fairly sure the BCHL was going to start up in the new year as well, but if he was going to go to Connecticut regardless, I'd rather he go earlier than later.

I would have liked to have watched him in camp but with COVID and international travel the way it is I can understand the team not wanting to screw with his season like that

Yeah I'm more then fine with the decision. He also wasn't going to make the team so better to stay with your team.

Miettinen is super impressive. I know a lot of people were stoked to have drafted him on draft day and so far he's living up to the excitement.

Ovechkinov with the primary assist!



Ovechkinov is having a great game so far 36 minutes into the game. He’s everywhere. I think i’ve seen him play the f1 and f2 positions. He’s getting loose pucks by out skating the other team and using good body positioning. I really like him on the forecheck this game and just seems to know where he’s going and processes the game very well.

Even more impressive considering the transition he has had to make coming to an entirely different country and adjusting to North American ice surface (size). The adjustment both on and off the ice can not be understated.

I don’t follow the Finnish system much but I’d think this guy would have looked good on their wjc team, he seems to have some pedigree to his game.

For me this is a big tournament for Hirvonen.
Rumours a few days ago that a few teams actually rated him at the end of the first round.
The group Finland is in, is just horriffic with 3 pretty easy games vs GER, SWI and SLO.
He should get good icetime and be put in situations with other skilled players.

He was going to be on the team, but what hurt him was going to NCAA and having limited games. He would have given them skill which is missing in their lineup. They don't have enough of it.
