Any idea on when Marlies camp starts?
Good question. I think some other teams camps have started already.

Honestly, I think his offense will pop out more on smaller ice as well
I don't think so. Plus, if he's good enough for the NHL, we'll lose his rights after his 3rd season if we don't sign him.Can tverberg possibly play 5 years in the ncaa?
He gets comparisons to Hornqvist. Thats a welcome add to our prospect pool. Even if he never becomes a 50 pt player, this team needs guys like Hallander who bring a feisty two game. We are also going to need guys who can PK and block shots. We have plenty of guys that bring offense in our prospect pool and on the big club but adding guys like Amirov, Hirvonen, Hallander, Niemela and Kokkonen will help bring more balance to the Leafs.I don't know if the offence will ever come but I think his game overall translates well, he plays inside the circles, net front, and below the goal line a lot from what I've seen.
No he can't play 5 years but you won't lose his rights while he's still in college. They expire Aug 15th the year his class graduates.I don't think so. Plus, if he's good enough for the NHL, we'll lose his rights after his 3rd season if we don't sign him.

Watching tverberg: the anti-miettinen
- does not have an elite skill besides maybe skating and potentially hockey iq
- skates really fast without the puck, has good mobility and even better straight line speed
- seems to skate slow without the puck (before anyone says “no s*** sherlock,” i do feel that with tverberg, he is a lot slower with the puck than without compared to other forwards e.g. abruzzesse, marner, miettinen)
- definitely plays f1, when he wins the forecheck, it is mostly because of his speed
- when he plays, i get the impression he aims to generate high danger scoring chances. I have only seen him to force a faceoff once (randomly shoot a weak shot)
- he does crash the net frequently, throws at least one hit per game, he tends to pass into the medium-high danger zones, does things that coaches like
- can handle physical play, but won’t outmuscle anyone
It is very obvious to see why the leafs traded for a 7th round pick to nab this guy. His skillset suggests he would have been drafted in 4th-6th round in a normal draft
Projections:
- short term: won’t score much as he’s rarely used on the pp and doesn’t get a lot of 5v5 time
- will get bigger and stronger
- he should stay in college: his linemates play pretty well and i think uconn is doing a good job developing him. This point is important because leafs have had players in ncaa who ditched their development path and got impatient e.g. bracco+biggs
-year 3/4: should be a point per game player
- nhl projection: bottom six f1
-very best case scenario where everything goes right: high iq player with elite speed
Definitely solid 7th round pick. I have him ahead of kara, o’connell for sure.He has some good hands too.
I don't really know what he can become TBH. I guess if he develops his defense a little bit, we can hope for a lesser version of Kapanen. I guess that would be pretty solid for a late 7th round pick.
Of all the teammates of leaf prospects, krannila is the one that sticks out to to me in the worst way.Miettinen with pretty crazy vision to find Krannila open all alone in the slot but was stopped. His shot is incredible but he's an underrated passer in the offensive zone too.
Over PPG again.
