Agreed.. my thoughts are if they spread Tavares and ROR on their own lines, that McMann would look good with ROR
Bunting Matthews Nylander
Jarnkrok Tavares Marner
McMann O'Reilly Holmberg
Kerfoot Kampf Acciari

The emptiness of that prospect pool, the own rentals, the stupid Foligno trade and all the picks are gone. If we lose first round, it will be beyond brutal and I don't care what you say.
You keep proving that you know nothing about our prospects, yet you keep running this shtick that the pool is empty.

No you keep pretending it isn't. Lose first round and it's over. Your type will vanish . We have nothing left to trade, they will want Knies or nothing.

The pool for a team that regularly is top 5-10 in the regular season is not bad at all. All of Knies, Minten, Grebyonkin, Niemela, Voit, Robertson, Tverberg, etc are on track to be NHLers. If Amirov ever gets healthy you can throw him in there too.

We have literally emptied all of our picks for years(its brutal). Knies becomes that extra forward we need i.e 3rd line but how on earth do we upgrade Defense? We have a total scorched earth situation if we lose first round again and to be honest a lot of teams in the East have a better defense. We don't even have anything to give for Schenn. It's a pipedream right now.

Reading this gave me second hand embarrassment. I think it's the way that it's said with such confidence is what really does it for me.

Saying that the Leafs don't have enough assets to trade for Luke Schenn is the most uninformed and embarrassing thing I've ever read on here, and that's saying a lot
We definitely have a number of solid second tier prospects - Hirvonen, Kral, Woll, Abruzzese, Tverberg, Voit, Steeves, Villeneuve - and a couple of them should get us a big 6 / 7 Dman a la Schenn.

Not what I'm saying . The pool is now shallow with no picks to fill it. If we lose first round wow!
There are more than one ways to fill the pool that you are calling shallow. Also any prospect enthusiast are usually happy to chat about our pool and system because we tend to run it quiet well from the tier system. From ECHL to the AHL after our prospects graduate from the juniors.

It's okay to be worried but what you are stating is more infused with worrisome about the post season result than actual facts. We do have quiet a bit of picks still and assets we can flip into more picks if need be, draft Day trades do exist. As well our history of player development of late along with franchise name is very attractable to free agent signings who aren't drafted or NCAA free agents.

Vladislav Kara? He's had a late bloomer season at age 24. Has his skating improved significantly? I remember his skating was ugly when he was originally drafted. I also remember that he comes from a place roughly equivalent to Whitehorse or Yellowknife.

Any update on Robertson's injury? Sucks this kid cant stay healthy - he really needs to figure out how to adapt his style of play to the NHL. He's always going in the tight corners with his small frame with his head down.

Shame - he has the skill level of his brother but lacks the physical

Out for the season + playoffs. Should be ready for training camp.

He doesn't have his head down. Every time he got hurt, it was because he had poor balance on his skates and had zero leverage. Then he falls awkwardly and hurts something bad.

His size doesn't help but he could be 6'3", 220 lbs and have the same problems. Possibly even worse.

Really wondering what's going through Robertson's head as he sees all these players coming on board, along with Holmberg and McMann make good impressions, and Knies getting ready to join.

Kid lost a golden opportunity show what he could do this season and potentially to grab a roster spot

He is a work horse, hes probably doing everything he can to get healthy and fit as soon as humanly possible so he can get back to work. He isnt the type of person to feel pity for himself, he will just work harder.

Apologies if I've missed a recent post, but has there been any news on Amirov?

I know UFA did a tribute thing for him a couple weeks ago that he posted on his Instagram but besides that haven't heard a peep since he left Toronto abruptly... Really hoping for a positive update in the coming months.

If the Leafs go scorched earth after a 1st round playoff loss, would that no mean probably 5-10 1st round picks or caliber prospects for Matthews, Marner and Nylander?
