3 PP goals and one SH goal against.

Somehow we only had 3 guys in our own end on a cycle when we had a PP...

Not a great start. Special teams were absolutely awful and they took a lot of stupid penalties.

We didn't look too bad at ES, but you expect better.

The defense is rough, especially with the injuries, but the same structural issues are still there.

Nikita grebyonkin has been demoted to the vhl where he has 3 points in 4 games. He averages 16 minutes per game. The vhl is like the echl but worse, but slightly better than the mhl. He is progressing a lot better than bobylev/chebykin/kizimov/kara when they were 20.

If Moore is embarrassing himself with this quality of a roster, just make the move now
Haven't seen a post game interview but he's probably putting the blame on "them", the players, instead of saying "we", the whole team him included.

One of the things I hate most about him tbh, that and the Marlies have underperformed and haven't improved despite the roster reinforcements

If Kallgren suffered an injury costing him to miss action, the Leafs now literally have zero goalie depth under contract for the NHL team. Expect an acquisition as soon as this weekend.

And that collision was either not an accident or really careless.

Kallgren is fine, but the Leafs can always call back Hildeby in an emergency... or sign Ferguson to a PTO.

Indeed and it affects their performance especially early in the season.

I am not giving Moore much benefit of the doubt. The prospects back there are good, most AHL coaches have to deal with inexperienced defense, and he has had experienced defenses in the past which have looked just as inept.

You're never wrong, are you?

When you can easily confirm your facts, not often.

Marlies channel posted the wrong Moore interview in their post game video, so not sure.
There have been so many things wrong in his tenure. You listed 2 but maybe the biggest thing is the lack of structure. The team is constantly running around in their zone, as if they have no idea what to do defensively. When the roster is changed, but issues persist structurally, time to look at the coach.

I'd like to think a slow start might cost him his job. Hardy said in his pre season availbility, he expects the team to go on a long run. This was mentioned but missing the playoffs last year in an expanded format must not have been easy to take. I'm not blaming Covid either. Marlies weren't the only team going through that. When you only need 1 point to clinch and had 3 games left, and still couldn't. Thats not good.

Obviously just game 2 but Douglas being a scratch is noteworthy and not a good sign for him.

Yeah not sure if Moore is the right guy here after watching the last few Marlies games. There's something missing on that team and he's been the one thing that hasn't changed for awhile.

We'll see after a few games but not sure he'll survive at this rate.

He's been recalled and is backing up Samsonov tonight.
