A realistic expectation for lisowky is a point per game season. He had a solid first 2 games notching 3 points because saskatoon’s #1 center connor roulette was not playing. It seems that when roulette returned, lisowky was relegated to the #2 line and his offense just dried up. Then sidorov began to heat up. Sidorov may be injured so it may open opportunities for lisowsky. Next year, we should see an explosion of points for lisowsky as he is unanimous for the top line.

Happened to notice under 'rumours' on eliteprospects' front page that apparently Grebyonkin will be going on loan to Amur Khaborovsk: Гребенкин перейдет из «Металлурга» в «Амур» на правах аренды

Have to assume that's a positive if it secures him steady KHL time rather than being stuck in the VHL? Amur are currently second last in the KHL, so presumably won't be a hard lineup to crack...

Also, maybe already mentioned, but saw that John Fusco has transferred from Harvard to Dartmouth this year and 7th round legend Ryan O'Connell is now playing a 5th NCAA year at Michigan Tech as he pursues an MBA (I STILL BELIEVE IN HIM).

Quite curious how Joe Miller will do in his first year at Harvard. He just turned 20, so essentially a Junior already, so he may need to put up big numbers quick...

Suggested this exact thing for Ovchinnikov if he wasn't getting minutes.

Up to Grebyonkin to get those minutes and do something with them.

Here is another one, and his contract expires after this year:

No international experience, and he is likely benefitting from a stacked system, but you can't deny the numbers...

Problem is, he is likely not a guy who leaves Russia to play in the AHL, and given he is so young, he may need some more time before he is NHL ready.

May also want to check out the thread on this undersized defenseman who is still draft eligible:

And there is this kid if you want a later round project:

He may not turn into much, but I'd rather take a chance on a 20 year old defenseman playing every day bottom pairing on a decent KHL team than a dime-a-dozen MHLer who may not even reach the KHL at all. Rather just wait and see if those guys make the KHL at 20 and take them then... Like you would this guy.

The numbers are impressive, and no doubt he is a battler, but there are a lot of red flags too. He's always on his ass. There was a play when he went down into the reverse VH when the puck is up at the faceoff circle. He's lucky the guy passed it across, but a simple shot there will beat him.

The longer clip is a few years old (from when he was in the MHL), so he has likely improved since then.

Danny Dekeyser joining the Marlies on a PTO.

Presumably stepping into the veteran D breach with Dahlstrom and Benn out and Mete recalled.
Watched most of vancouvers training camp stuff and wanted him to sign in abbotsford for a mentor role..

He showed very well in terms of experience, vision and reading the ice but his body cant keep up

Could likely be strong in a rotation role in the A though and immense experience

That's an interesting move. He's been terrible at the NHL level but there might be some good quality at the AHL level there. Marlies need depth and offensively they need help.

I am more concerned about their defensive ability.

Leafs have called up Filip Kral. He was drafted back in 2018 so he’s had tons of time to develop, time to show us what he’s got, he might not get another opportunity with the big club.

Rasmus Sandin was a first round pick in 2018 and hasn’t fully established his roll and spot on the team. Liljegren was drafted the year before and just started to do it in the second half of last season. Durzi was an overager drafted the same year as Liljegren and just broke into the lineup last season with LA.
Dmen take longer to develop. I haven’t really seen a lot from Kral to tell me he is an NHL player but it’s a little early to be writing the guy off.
